CB, RB, and WR in HS.
Cool - some Forrest Gump packages.

I've always wondered why he never got a shot at returns. I'm guessing he has hands of stone.

Or poor vision, no patience for blocking, poor cutting, etc.
A lot more than just hands to consider as well.
I'd think a cornerback would have to have decent vision and cutting ability.

Troy listed as the #4 fastest player in CFB
Can we get him in on a couple go routes per game?
How does playing CB guarantee good vision, regarding the ability to read on coming traffic / following blockers? (not saying you can't do both, just saying it could be an issue)
Cutting, based on hip movement, sure, but just because you have fluid hips and can move on a dime, doesn't guarantee that you know when/how to make a tackler miss. (poor timing, under/over juking, etc).
Again, just saying there's more than just "hands and speed" required for a good kick returner.
call it vision or instinct, a good CB has to have it. not saying that always translates, but it's very similar. he also played RB, WR, and returner in HS. His highlights are more on O than D.

Consider me shocked that one of the fastest players in college was used on offense in high school.
Consider me shocked that his high school highlights are primarily offense because lord knows I'm sure one of the top CB's in the class of 2016 was tested repeatedly on defense.
I get your point that that "instinct" can translate, but there is a reason that Pride isn't returning kicks. I did see a little bit of wiggle in his highlights, but not much. The chances of outrunning a high school kickoff/punt team are far far greater than outrunning a college team.
But, let me guess, they'll still have him play 8 yards off the LOS? Thats probably my biggest gripe with Lea's defense.
Isn't he the field corner? Makes sense to have him a little deeper if that's the case.
maybe not 8 yards, but should be a little bit deeper imo.
We really need that new practice facility complete ASAP
Nice article from our friend Freeman

I think Pride is going to have a monster year. Hopefully it'll be similar to last year for our DB's. We knew we had Love but didn't expect much at safety and were not sure with Pride. Pride had a hell a year opposite the best CB we've had in a long time. He should have been severely picked on but he did really well. So I'm hoping Pride will be our Love this year and someone will step up and have a break out year like Pride did last year. Maybe Griffith or Avery. Maybe Vaughn if he's healthy.
He had a very solid year. With his experience and this being his senior season, I expect his performance to go up another notch or two.
I'd love to see Louisville open the game with a quick out against TP and he take it to the house.
