Yeah, he's fast but he's only getting paid on Sundays and he appears poised to move up draft boards. I really hope he continues ascending, would be great for us and him.

This. Troy needs to spend more time running backwards, not forward.

Yea, at this point it's apparent that, although he's really fast, he's not elite track fast. However, he is elite football fast. Combine that with 24+ games of starting CB film against big time competition and blowing up the combine, then he's making real money.

Interesting stat, but can be misleading as it isn't neutralized for targeted passes. While there is a minimum of 10 to be considered, not sure what the yards per target would be.

I don't subscribe to PFF, so not sure if that stat is available or not.

That speed is fantastic and I have kept saying over the years that we have to find a way to have our fastest player on the field for the majority of games. However, his position does not lend itself to a whole lot of straight line running. I agree with a previous poster that he should spend his future training time on getting his hips flipped and increases his speed changing direction. All that aside though the video does make me pretty excited!

100000% agree CB requires more speed than other positions, because essentially you are guarding someone that knows exactly where they are going and you have no idea.

My point was if he cant use that speed in getting his hips around and changing directions then that straight line speed isn't worth much. He has progressed quite a bit since he first stepped foot on campus. I have a lot of faith in him and the staff to utilize his skills properly.
