maybe for pass blocking but the run blocking has been sketchy. Not this week against FSU though.

I have no idea what this guy Cubelic is seeing. Liam is an OK OLineman in his first go-round, and will be a very fine one, but I'd say that our whole (current) inside three are holding up better than our tackles.

Still, bless you, Liam, and go for it. Glad my eyes are wrong.

Hainsey grades out as the best lineman on the team to this point, but I assume that's helped by the shuffling that's gone on with the guards since Bars got hurt.

BK's presser today said that Liam played with a high ankle sprain this season. Not sure if this means that he is basically healed now or not.

Paradoxically, that is good news --- potential for a lot better first two steps vs the outside rush, and more powerful plant vs the bull rush. Maybe we have another great LT coming after-all.

Go Big Fella!.

Even bigger once we hopefully get the W against USC. 3-4 weeks to rest up and heal should hopefully give our OL a chance to form a cohesive unit.

Yup. I think he may be the weak link. He should probably be playing RT or guard, but we just don't have LTs on the roster.

Hell wasn't Hainsey being groomed to possibly be LT before Hiestand left?

Hainsey was gonna be the LT in '18, but Long* felt good enough about Eichenberg at LT that they decided to keep the OL as unshuffled as possible by plugging in the new left side and leaving the guys on the right in place.

*Quinn and BK apparently gave Long the final say on which OL combination would be the best for the offense. I think that shows how highly they think of him as OC (if the fact that BK let him transform BK's own playbook didn't already do that)

Y'all are being pretty harsh. At this point in Mcglinchey's career he hadn't even started a game at left tackle, was a false start machine his senior year, and then was great his graduate year despite the fact that he cost us a chance to win the Georgia game. Eichenberg was a first year starter last year, let's see how he progresses.

Tell that to the NFL scouts. Dane Brugler just released his preseason top 50 NFL prospects with Eichenberg at 34 overall, 4th ranked OT

Not sure who has listened to BK's interview after the game, but the multiple false starts actually fell on Book. They went to a silent cadence but Book...out of habit...would clap his hands which is their normal snap. BK took the blame and said they should have practiced the silent cadence more but Book's clapping caused Liam and Cole to jump.

If this is true that Chip and Kelly are truly out of touch. You knew this game was going to be loud so you had a half ass plan. SMH

What BK said was they instituted the silent cadence and everyone picked it up real quick so they didn’t spend extra time on it and in hindsight they should have spent more time. I understand the statement. Everyone seemed to get it so they moved in to other things. In hindsight it should have been used a lot more so it was more the norm than the clapping.

... one might still mention however that the OTHER linemen didn't have the problem.

BK is doing what he should do, and he’s covering for the fact his lineman made a lot of individual mistakes: false starts, hands to the face, etc.

Agree with you Mike... the other lineman had it down.

Just saw a tweet from a random guy that Eichenberg announced he's applying for a 5th year. Yes? No? Is that official?
