I don't think it's up for question anymore. He said some things in confidence to the staff this weekend that makes it hard to believe there's another option. Liam has never come off as a dishonest kid or the type of kid to lead a staff on. Maybe he got caught up in the moment? Hasn't happened on previous visits.

He knew where he was going coming into the ND visit and the visit went......very well. This weekend is simply out of respect to the OSU staff and Ed in particular IMO.

I'm not sure that it will be Sunday, but I would be willing to wager all my vbucks that this is a done deal.

Deciding factor: Obviously HH played a HUGE role in this recruitment but this staff and their ability to sell the "40 year decision" mantra, has worked wonders. OSU has one of the best head coaches in football whos recruiting is probably only rivaled by St. Nick. He's assembled a staff stocked with great recruiters and they just won a national championship.....

Our staff went into their back yard and potentially snagged the TWO most highly rated offensive lineman. Kuddos to this staff and their hard work. Offensive line recruiting hasn't been rolling like this in decades.

1- I agree with you and think that is the case.

2- There is also the other side of the coin that perhaps he knows OSU is the place and he is going to commit this weekend. (The pessimist in me made me type it)

#2 was my first thought, but there seems to be a level of confidence in SB like this is already a done deal.

With a tease like this, it's got to be good news.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>We have a small update on 2016 Ohio OL Liam Eichenberg, but you’ll want to ready every word of it.</p>— Irish Sports Daily (@ISDUpdate) <a href="https://twitter.com/ISDUpdate/status/589052631223513088">April 17, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

They expect a decision to come within the next couple days. His choice being ND.

ISD Intel is the best thing going in ND coverage right now. Great staff and I recommend you guys check it out.

The 247 article doesn't make it sound like a courtesy visit to OSU. His mom and grandfather are joining him and his father is flying in from Vegas. I was more confident before I read that.

Per 247 he'll be announcing via twitter his decision on Sunday. Obviously Bucknuts thinks that Meyer can basically flip him but that shouldn't come as a surprise as Keurilic and company would give Meyer a blowjob if they could.

Wiltfong was on the Bucknuts Morning 5 yesterday. Eichenberg wasn't discussed directly, but when Wiltfong was asked about any commitments that could pop soon for the Buckeyes, he didn't even mention Eichenberg as a possibility. While Steve may not have been aware that he was planning on announcing on Sunday, he certainly did know that Eichenberg was expected to announce within a couple weeks of the visit to pOSU.

Really excited for this one, but I'm still anxious until he makes his decision known for sure. It is unbelievable what HH has been able to do on the trail at the OL position. Here's to hoping the experts are right on this one!

The Spring game was a good escape from the thought of Urbie casting spells on Liam. Fingers crossed!

I just don't feel good about this one. If he was leaning ND, then why not visit ND for their Spring Game instead of Ohio St.? Ohio St. gets the last visit and breaks a record for almost 100,000 fans at their spring game? lol

Jesus... It's like you have never followed recruiting before.

But yet... You have followed it extensively for several years.

I simply don't get your logic. Completely different wavelength than the rest of the rational world.

Maybe he is giving Ohio State one last chance because he is leaning Notre Dame. Until I see Wiltfong change his crystal ball I don't care what happens.

In Wiltfong I trust

He went to Ohio St.'s spring game because his parents and grandparents are big Ohio St. fans.

Go to a Spring Game with nearly 100,000 fans in attendance with a game-like atmosphere, or go to a Spring Game at a practice field with a fraction of that number in attendance....yeah, I'm as biased a ND fan as you can get, but even I would go to O$U's spring game given the choice. Much more going on.

I can't imagine a kid with legit interest in ND basing their college choice on a Spring game. ND and OSU give such distinct college experiences, Liam just needs to decide which is best for himself, hope it's us.

Embarrassing. I wouldn't say that to a normal person, but a person who tweets recruits and thinks he's helping the Irish...you're fair game.

He's all Irish. Not even worried.

My buddy just told me it's trending heavily Buckeyes right now, the same guy who told me that he was "all Buckeye" last week.

I asked why it would be "trending" towards OSU if he was already "all Buckeye."

No response. Mixed signals leads me to believe his source is garbage. I hope I get to rub this one in his face.

They made a really hard run at Liam and Urban even went for the close. Obviously Liam didn't give it to him but from 247's interview with him, it's more interesting now than it was yesterday.

Scout says the same. Things were leaning ND and now are completely up in the air. Decision may take a few days now

So much for Mike Frank being a "negative Nancy" on this one. It's never going to be easy when Urban gets the last opportunity, guy is as good as they come. Hopefully the stink will wear off in a couple of days and he'll come to his senses.
