Kind of reminds me when we lost a year of eligibility for Schwenke because Tuitt got mono or some shit. Thank God we're infinitely deeper these days and this would be less in vain due to the nature of the injury...

I don’t think so. I believe Jamir was part of the game plan this week just like he was last week. He just got more reps this week because Hayes was out.

He was not part of the game plan. BK said he was on scout team all week. Since Hayes got hurt he went in and played well. Many assumed he would no longer be red shirted this year after his play vs VA and now with Hayes out all year, but he is not listed on this weeks depth chart at shark end. Shows Justin Ademilola and Ovie. Curious to see what this means going forward.

This week is Bowling Green. I would not have expected him to play if they are holding out any hope of keeping his redshirt. My thought is that he will play against USC and maybe Michigan, then see what level bowl we make. If we get to CFP, all bets are off. If we go to any other bowl, I would imagine that he may stay out of that game and keep the redshirt in tact, if it is still a possibility at that point. No one else can get hurt.

Is his success due to offenses focusing on Okwara and Kareem? Or has he just come into his own.

Regardless the pass defended he had was huge and a great play.

I bet he'll get picked up as a UDFA and get a chance to work his way from the practice squad to the active roster like Romeo Okwara. But if he can keep up this production, who knows?

True. I was like, Look at Jamir! He ran stride for stride with him but to be fair, the ball hit Carr perfectly in the hands and he just didn't catch it.

Is he the best DE on the team? Serious question. He maybe producing the most. Only DE I saw last night consistently making plays. Way for the staff to waste another Dlinemen by not redshirting him earlier in his career.
