He grabbed his towel but for some reason the commentators took that as coming up lame and kept bringing it up.i thought JL came up lame holding his leg/hamstring when he exited?

That's kind of scary. If you watch that replay again i believe he hits helmets with one of his teammates. Kelly said in the post game presser JL had trouble with the memory aspect of the testing.
That's kind of scary.
Colts have 2 second rounders🤗
Looking at some of the mock drafts, looks like there are 4 CB's in the first round and none are J Love. I'm not understanding that. He had the best stats of all CB's and was a Thorpe finalist which should mean he is one of the top 3. Is it because he projects better at safety or size or speed? And JT wasn't in the first round, either. I thought for sure ND would have 2 1st rounders but if the mocks are right, we won't have any.

I saw a top 40 mock with 6 CB listed, none of them were Love. Kind of blew my mind.
Wouldn't be surprised if this is similar to Everson Walls. Led the nation in INT's went undrafted and ended up All Pro three times.
Love leads the nation in breakups, gets drafted late and ends up Pro Bowl or All Pro.
There is no way Love is going to go undrafted.. I saw him today as #44 on list of Draft Prospects. Tillery 45

Pretty sure I didn't say he would go undrafted.
Saw him ranked as the 8th corner off the board by The Athletic’s draft guy the other day. I don’t know what teams need what, but that sounds like third round or so.
He may wind up being a better NFL corner than a lot of the guys ahead of him, but he doesn’t have the measurables the NFL draftniks drool over. But also if you’re Love I don’t know why you leave early to be a third-round draft pick.
Probably because if we are all right in assuming it's measurables that are holding him back, how much can he really improve on things such as speed and agility with one more year @ ND? If his draft stock isn't going to increase that much whether he stays for a year or goes, he may as well take off now while he's young and healthy, and not risk getting hurt.
This and it's precisely what Julian has said in interviews. He's played A LOT of football over the last 3 seasons and there is already a ton of film on him. He's not going to get dramatically faster, taller, longer etc. at this point, so why not go now.
Because he could come back, finish his degree, be a captain, lead Notre Dame to another playoff bid and still be a third-round pick (or better) next year.
Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but I do think that kind of stuff means something. (I also think a lot of these guys get lousy advice and that, for many players, the NFL winds up being a sort of fool’s gold.)
I don’t mean as a knock on Love, who seems like a great young man. And obviously every player makes these decisions for their own reasons. But we’re getting to the point where it feels like so many, too many, view college football mainly as a stepping stone to the NFL, to be left behind as soon as they think they can get drafted. I think it should be more than that, especially at a place like Notre Dame.
But I realize I’m mostly whistling into the wind on this topic.
Exactly, so add another 800+ snaps to his career and end up with the same grade. This is a 5'11 193 lb CB who has already played over 2,200 snaps of college football.
I feel extremely confident saying that Love didn't go into his enrollment at ND (as the 46th best CB prospect nationally) thinking this way. He gave tremendous effort over a short period of time and can always complete his degree. It's time to live his dream.
I get having issues with some of these early departures but in Love's case I can't see how anyone can fault him.

Not arguing.. By your inference of "Wouldn't be surprised if this is similar to Everson Walls. Led the nation in INT's went undrafted " That would infer that Love will go undrafted if it is similar. If Love is drafted, that would defeat the main sentiment of your post.
