This kid is severely underrated. There aren't many safeties in this class that have Studstill's read and reacting skills. He's extremely good in coverage, a textbook free safety, which is EXACTLY what we need right now. I was worried initially that he lacked great athleticism, but he looks much more fluent and quicker than before. He's definitely a solid 4-star guy in my book.

Them diagnosing skills...

He's a really smooth athlete. If he was a couple inches taller he'd be a high 4 star no doubt. Think he could play CB or Safety.

Nailed it with this description. His film is the definition of the cliched phrase "flows to the football."

That play he makes at 1:00 is ridiculous. It looks like he's sprinting to the underneath receiver before he even looks toward the receiver.

One down one to go. Have dad sit next to the Admiral during the game and close the deal.

Told BGI and 247 he's looking to decide in the beginning of Dec. after he's visited WVU and Miami. Kelly and BVG to visit him this Thursday at school.

Andrew Ivins heard this morning from a source in Studstill's camp that ND is the clear cut leader at this time. He'll be at Miami to watch them play Clemson this weekend and Andrew made a good point. The atmosphere that he'll see on Saturday will be nothing compared to ND last Saturday night.

He will see plenty of Hurricane Orange in the seats......or maybe those are just the seats?

Was the atmosphere Saturday even that good tho? Obviously it will be better than Miami but it didn't seem that loud from the TV

It always seems quiet to me on NBC.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I brought this up in the NBC thread. NBC does a terrible job of capturing gameday atmosphere. Thursday night AAC games in stadiums with 20,000 people sound 10x louder than ND. That's because ESPN knows how to broadcast a college football game. CBS is actually the best at it. I think it is simply a matter of placing microphones in places to capture stadium sound. You will notice during an NBC broadcast that you can hear the band well - that's because they are mic'd.

The atmosphere was awesome on Saturday; it was really loud at times (especially after the blocked punt). The new theory is that the noise is being bottled up by the new structures east and west of the stadium. Even some of the people on the USC boards at 247 were talking about how good the atmosphere was.

Wasn't there but from everything that I've read it was absolutely rocking and I think this has a lot to do with it.

Here's a link to the discussion. People raving about the student section and general noise inside the stadium. Of course watching it on TV you would think it was a Miami game with 12,000 people. Thanks NBC.

I was there. The first quarter was electric. USC did manage to take the crowd out for a little while. The fourth quarter it cranked up again. Crowd was on its feet (including this old man) for a good portion, especially when a defensive stop was needed.

I would think that it will only get louder when the buildings are actually finished

I think it will once the glass is on the face. Sound will bounce back quite nicely.

My first game at the stadium was this year for UMASS and I was very surprised at how much louder the band was in person than I've ever heard it on TV. The drums especially are washed out for the broadcast and fantastic live.

NBC's mics must suck then. Couldn't tell how loud it was at all.

The stadium renovations look so nice too. Definitely should keep more of the sound in. Michigan's stadium has been noticeably louder after there renovations.

NBC does game atmosphere zero justice with how they handle the stadium noise. EAPN/ABC do MUCH better job at that.

Well this is a recruitment that I feel pretty good about. Unless it comes down to something other than football and academics we look pretty good, lol

Is he still waiting until Miami hires a new coach or will he pull the trigger?

Remember when the Miami coach asked why would you want to go to south bend with a picture of the weather forecasts?

How you like me now...
