'16 FL S Devin Studstill (Notre Dame Early Enrollee)

He took a lot of bad angles. I'll chalk that up to inexperience. Struck me as reasonably fast but maybe b/c I'm comparing to Tranquil and Sebastian.
Like a lot of guys on our defense, he was serviceable, but that's about it. He got a lot of experience, though. Hope he keeps developing.

This is where I stand. He made some good plays and some bad plays. He's a freshman, let's see if he can improve under a new DC.

The bad plays far outweighed the good/expected plays and he looked gassed and whiffed a lot not to mention getting scorched down the field. Tranquil looks faster and tackled a lot better. Still hoping for significant growth and got a lot of exp reinvent for sure.

Doesn't look like a great athlete and he definitely needs to work on his tackling. Like others have said, he often took bad angles.

But he's a true freshman. Hopefully he can develop into a steady player. I don't see him ever being a star though.

Depth chart all year was "Jalen Elliott OR Devin Studstill", yet Studstill hardly played the 2nd half of the season.
Gilman and Allen (and others) available next year, potential to get buried on the depth chart.

It just seems your most likely candidates to transfer are those that used to get more playing time/start and are potentially going to be passed up on the depth chart going forward.

It was extremely touching. I lost my mom not much older than Devin. I was 26, 15 years ago. I'm not sure I could have written something slo eloquently back then. Sorry for your loss, Devin. Time does heal but theree pain never completely eases.
