In my own opinion, yes. Dude is a ball hawk and reads plays so well. Would be a great DB class if ND locked up Studstill and Pride Jr.

Agree on both statements. I see him being a 3-4 year starter and very productive.

Is his ratings down due to not going to camps?

That's probably part of the reason for Rivals, smh. I bet 247 eventually gives him his 4th star and a decent bump. There's been enough talk over there about how ridiculously undervalued this kid is. For him as a player, The only thing I got is lack of top end speed and maybe ideal length. With how good he is at everything else, I don't really think it will matter.

Good stuff lucci

I keep finding myself in the same boat wondering why I'm not nearly as excited about having a great chance at this kid as others seem to be. But I keep hearing nothing but good things about him so maybe it's time I hop on board

up next is a trip to Morgantown.

“Their play and the fact that I’m a legacy,” said Studstill when asked about what he talks about with the Mountaineers coaching staff. “We talk about the family basis. Coach Seider has known me for a long time. It’s not really a coach to player talk. It’s more about family first.”
“The football atmosphere,” said Studstill when Bartow asked him about what stood out about that trip. “Everything was professional and first class. I didn’t have to look for anything, everything was right in my face. Coach Denson talks to me every day. He just wants to make sure I’m doing good.

“We didn’t talk very long,” Studstill added regarding his talk with head coach Brian Kelly. “I went up there during the summer and that’s when we had a long talk. This visit, I just wanted to watch the game at this point.”

“I’m hearing Butch. I heard Pagano. I’ve heard Charlie Strong. I’ve heard Holgerson,” said Studstill, when Bartow asked him about which coaches he has heard mentioned for the Hurricanes job. “I’ve about every coach. I’ve heard Davis and Cristobal the most. That would be huge, especially Butch or Cristobal. Those are the real good ones.”

“I’m just doing my due-diligence at this point,” said Studstill. “It’s Miami, West Virginia or Notre Dame.”

Lololol at those coaching names. Think Cristobal makes the most sense but the other ones....no chance

Devin and David Long are by far my top 2 wants in the secondary to help complete this cycle. Devin is criminally underrated.

I prefer Long. I like both, but I think Long is an elite athlete. I am really, really high on Studstill and Long.

Long is one of those kids where you hear him described as "just a pure football player".

Hamlin to me is high upside as a man to man cover guy.

I want both with Studstill to end the DB class. (assuming 3)

However, it sounds like Pride Jr. is more likely to be included in some fashion.

Would they take 4 more DBs with 5 already in the fold?

Between Perry and Morgan, I have to figure at least one will move to LB full-time or play the quasi-LB/nickel CB position that Farley and Tranquill play. Still eight DBs in a single class would be pretty crazy.

ATHLETES, GET ATHLETES on campus. Kelly can move them around. What was Procise recruited as?

Can Julian Love play another position, or is he too valuable as a db? (Did not watch any film on him.)

Taking a 2 deep secondary after rather poor secondary recruiting (no slight to our current players, just our numbers weren't adequate) seems like a good move. I hope we get at least 6, we need the help back there.

Julian's offensive highlights are arguably more impressive than McIntosh's. He looks like he absolutely dominated his league this year.

He's really good on both sides. That said, his ball skills when the ball is in the air on defense is better than a lot of college DB right now IMO.

Julian has great football instincts, and is a leader on the Team. I went to Naz and know a lot of people that have only great things to say about that young man. They told me when he stopped worrying and thinking about football and just started playing and having fun, he started tearing up the field. They won state 2 years in a row (5a and 6a), and Julian was a big part of their success.

Not taking anything away from Love's highlights, because I'll be the first to admit he looked a lot better than i thought, but McIntosh plays against the toughest competition in Florida.

I remember when Coach D told me not to be impressed with CJ Prosise's highlights because of "bad competition"... [insert Kermit with a big 'ol cup of tea]

Coach D was high on CJ as a prospect. Maybe he said don't get sold on his highlights because the comp was bad, but he liked him.

If someone would've told me Adams would've broken the single game rushing record for a TD and have the longest play from scrimmage in Notre Dame stadium history, I would've called bullshit x3.

I thought Adams competition was average and he looked slightly above average. He looked like he ran too high and wasn't prepared to move to the next level. So...... when in Rome.

Exactly.

I thought we were getting a slower GAIII project and bam! He's Ryan Grant Jr.

OR

Could it be that maybe this line is better than even we think it is. (cue Twilight Zone music.)
