In all the games I saw him, against 3, 4 or 5 star DB's I never thought he needed to be more physically aggressive on the field. He was just better every night regardless of who it was...playing with a non-FBS QB btw.. Now if you mean is he the guy that is going to put it in some guys face and embarrass them on top of dominating them physically then I don't know if that's him. Has a demeanor much like Michael Floyd and I'll bet he's like Floyd in the fact that he knows he's the man.

I don't know about that. Really we have two experienced WRs coming back next year in Robinson and Hunter. We have some young talent at WR but not much that is proven and with Guyton transferring, and Brent might be staying at RB:

Robinson Hunter ESB
Boykin Sanders Holmes

and then Freshmen after that. Am I missing someone?

So what if it is 9. Holmes has struggled from all accounts, and Claypool is raw. If Holmes hasn't made progress we could functually have 7 WRs, 2 of which would be true freshmen (and I don't know enough about Stepherson to know if he can contribute as a Freshman or not (so it could be 6 WRs). So not that deep. I do think that McKinley can step up and contribute as a Freshman though.

How many WR's do you need? I wish we would rotate more players on this team especially on the D line and at WR but that's 9 WR's that's plenty for the way our team is ran.

As my other posts says, we really have 6 or 7 functional WRs and that is saying that Boykin can contribute next year. We really have 2 proven WRs next year and some WRs that we have high hopes for (ESB, McKinley, Sanders, etc). I am not saying that we will be bad at WR next year just that we have too many inexperienced players to call it one of our deepest positions.

In 2012 ND had a #1 Draft Choice playing TE. Eifert was ND's Top Receiver, lead in Catches, Yds, and TDs.

The #3 receiver was a RB, Riddick.

The '12 WR only made 54% of the ND receptions.

Yes, we're "way deeper" in numbers at WR but that doesn't guarantee production. ND loses 70% of the '15 receptions. Of those 168 receptions, 136 were made by Fulller, Brown, and Prosise. That's an awful lot of unmatched speed and experience that stretched defenses (opening up the running game) that's not returning. Not next year.

They have 3 right now, two of them 4* guys (Claypool and McKinley). They have loaded up on Defensive Backs(6, 7 if count Studstill), as well they should.
