Well McKinley was evaluated for a head injury in 2 OT so we’ll have to see his status for next week.

Really need him back. I wasn't aware he got popped. Listening to the post game now.

I agree, our WRs stepped up at some big times tonight. I like them because they're Irish, and I'll support them to hell and back, but I can objectively say that they're not as skilled as that Clemson WR group. I think each of our starters stepped up at least once or more for big plays, and it was enough to win the game.

Yep. Definitely some highs and lows, but thankfully some just fantastic highs. AD dropping that one in the EZ and then coming back late for that long toss in stride, then the TD catch in a tight window. Skow with that drop on a huge 3rd down. Mayer had some huge mistakes. That flinch that cost us potentially a TD, then the drop on what would have been potentially another TD. Then comes back to make a key grab. Javon had some killer grabs, and his blocking was phenomenal.

The WRs, like Book, don't have the ultra high ceiling some guys have like Clemson's guys, but they all played their asses off, and didn't give up.

I have more hope now if we play Clemson with TL in the ACCC. The backup played extremely well, so it's not like they can use that as an excuse. We've got to get better though in the next month. Our DBs especially. I still think it's critical to get some of the young speedy guys involved in the passing offense. I'm just not sure we can duplicate last night's effort, or rely on things like that big early run for a TD, or that steal/pick-6. Got to get more separation.

He was so great in the pocket and moving around to extend plays. So happy for him and the rest of the team.

I think the biggest question now going forward, is do we go for Bronze, or spring for a more classic marble when building his statue?

Proud of Ian. He proved me wrong. Finally was willing to push the ball down the field. That's all I've ever wanted

I had a feeling Book was going to deliver in this game and I'm so happy he did. He was so good yesterday. So happy for him.

Our best QB since Quinn. Fight me.

I was gonna say he's better than Quinn, just won't quite have the yards/TDs. More wins, actually beat LSU in a bowl (And won a bowl, period), and knocked off the #1 team. Then again, Quinn did enough to win that game against USC in 2005 and should have been the winner. He put the team on his back like Ian did and got them down the field for the winning score. Only problem is the defense completely imploded, had 3rd and 20 and then 4th and 9 before they went 61 yards to score. Then we of course had the PAC-12 refs screw us on the Bush Push.

That game should have been a positive for Quinn's legacy, absolutely robbed. I remember Weis saying something like Quinn had a Shane Falco moment and called his own number for that go ahead score, winners want the ball when the game is on the line and all that.

I think the biggest question now going forward, is do we go for Bronze, or spring for a more classic marble when building his statue?

Gold, baby. Solid gold.

Since Dabo likes posing with our statues, let's let him decide what it's made out of.

He won't be a high pick, but Book made sure that he'll be collecting an NFL paycheck for at least a while with his play on Saturday. Might even go in the later rounds now

As stated often : big Ian fan here from the beginning. But Ian is not better than Brady Quinn. Ian plays with a better team. Comparisons of guys as individuals across significant time is almost always bogus, and particularly so if the teams and opponents are not the real things being compared. But at least we could compare certain "measurables" and make a likelihood comment: Ian's size vs Brady's size is still a pretty big deal in the NFL. ... and not sure who would claim that Ian had the better arm. ... or accuracy.

Book is a stud and will leave ND with a rightful place in the record books. I would love to see him land on an NFL roster if nothing more than for the crap he's heard over the years. Having said that, realistically he's probably an UDFA. Now if he finishes the season with another two or three big wins, then someone will draft him.

No doubt the most complete (big) game he's had in his career...Good to hear the locker room after the game ball announcement

Has anyone brought up yet how we will probably ask him to come back?
Buchner could back him up for a year.
