Don't scoff. Jumbo-sized DBs are the wave of the future. Just look at Seattle's Legion of Boom.

Line up 11 DL and play Cover-0 press-man every snap. The entire opposing offense would be injured by the 2nd or 3rd series.

I'm suddenly reminded of the OLD Sega Genesis game "Mutant League Football" where injured players exploded in a cloud of organs.

I remember it well.

I think Adams is the perfect body type for safety and is fast enough to be a FS. Unfortunately, he's a RB and we need them just as bad if not more than safeties.

Passing out Gatorade is a tough job, we need more RBs

Am I the only guy here who loves his HS tape? His competition isn't great but for a tall RB he shows awesome burst and quickness. His pad level is even pretty damn good already and takes contact well. Get him up to 6'2" 230 and he could be a beast. Personally like him more than Dexter Williams but they could be nice compliments to each other.

I like Adams a lot. Even though his competition was less he did what he should have and performed highly. Then when he played the 3 or so higher quality teams he still performed just as well. Seems like a great kid too.

I really like him too. Especially when you consider how well he played a year after a major knee injury I'm excited. Look at those running backs we've had that never looked the same after an injury (Armondo Allen), and yet he seems to have kept his quickness.

I really like this kid and hope with GB's academic issues and possible departure (?) that he can pick up the slack. BK just does not like playing Freshman RB's due to the scheme of picking up blockers and such-at least that's what I've seen/heard. Put the effort in and he could be a viable sub this year. If TF goes down the list of back-ups is such a drop off in ability. Sigh....

If I recall, so did Golson.

Uh, when Golson was suspended for a season, he said he was coming back and that's what he did. The 5Y thing is a very different scenario (though FWIW I don't recall him ever definitively saying he'd be back for '15. Did he?)

Either way, whether its Adams or Dexter I think Kelly's going to have to get comfortable with playing a freshman RB this year.

Kelly's gonna have to get comfortable playing freshmen at RB every year, because it's a pretty common occurrence across the country.

We're shopping down a different aisle at Notre Dame, Balki.

Actually, Kelly needs to get comfortable playing any running back. I've asked this question many times before, but "Why would any running back want to come to NotreDame?"

We have success recruiting pass-catching tight ends because we throw them the ball. If we want to recruit running backs with the same success we will have to hand them the rock once in awhile.
