He's gone after this year, right?

I have a hard time seeing NFL teams trusting that body. The upright running style and injuries he has already had would make him a hard take. Most running backs have a very short shelf life in the NFL. I would not consider him to be in the Top 20 of college running backs coming out this year or next.

I don't think Adams has serious NFL potential. Would only be a fit in a Mike Shanahan type of offense.

Even as a #2 back, you can have yourself a nice career. He needs to show that he can play through a lingering injury a bit better.

I kind of wish they'd sit him if Jones is healthy. Let Jones/Dexter get the carries/experience for a week. Josh healthy but banged up isn't nearly as effective. Keep the horses healthy.

IDK that he's banged up, but I know he's gotten up slowly more than a few times so far.

Agree. I don't think he should sit if he isn't injured but maybe let him have two series or 5-8 carries then let the other guys get some work. See how the other backs respond to a bigger workload. Never know what you have until you put them on the field.

I think his style and (in)ability will hamper him in the league. What injury history? The high school injury?

I think he's a higher ceiling Ryan Grant-type in the NFL. But it's a total crap shoot at the next level for running backs.

Hard to predict. We know the shelf life of RB's in the league, so it would make sense for him to go pro. Then again, I don't see him being a high pick, at all.
^This. But even undrafted he should leave after this year to maximize the length of his pro career.

Running backs get up slowly....

What a low energy bunch we got here... that's to be expected... this kid's ceiling is YUGE, okay, he's going to win big, believe me.

Kind of a Laveon Bell type back in regards to his patience and helping his linemen set up blocks.

Dex is your prototypical NFL RB. I think Josh could make some noise. But again, his form and size aren't favorable. The question is when will they declare.... Imagine retaining them both for next year w Jones....or even just one of them!?!

I don't wanna be THAT guy but which one is it? I'm sure it's just a typo.

Josh is like a less fluid Derrick Henry. Really have to wonder how his knee injury hurt his quickness.

Would you want your NFL team to draft him or Dexter first?

Think it depends on your RB situation. Already got a guy that can be patient and wait for the hole in a zone blocking scheme? You take Dex as your slasher.

Need a patient back that will frustrate because fans think he waits too long, but finds those holes getting the 3 yards that were created and fall forward? You take Josh, who can also make a cut and go with sneaking quickness that gets him 10-15 yards as people underestimate his speed.

Josh's best skill imho is catching the ball. On the right team he could be a demarco Murray

I'm going to be in the minority, but I would take Adams.

I get that he doesn't move well laterally, I do think he has improved his lateral mobility this year though. I get that he runs upright, but so Adrian Peterson, Henry, etc.

Pluses for Adams is his size, patience, blocking and his speed. It's not elite speed, but it's a notch below and his acceleration is pretty good. What has improved the most in his game this year is the ability to break many tackles, arm tackles don't get him down anymore.

Kind of a Laveon Bell type back in regards to his patience and helping his linemen set up blocks.

Agree about his patience, I think that has improved this year also.

Is he single? You think a girl like me would have a chance?

I love this kid... he's the first back since the Brooks/Denson era that every time he gets a carry I feel he can break it.

Love the guy. One tough kid. And he doesn't care how he feels he just wants to play.

They said he'd be back but limited duty.

He got his knee bent back under him. Rolled over on the field holding his left knee. But got up and walked off the field without assistance.

Nothing. He tweaked his knee, walked off the field and stayed on the sideline with his helmet on. There's no reason for him to take another snap in this game.

He's walking around the sidelines without a limp.
