Great to see my post of saying he was burned which is true was deleted. The wr dropped the ball and they ran that play at nick multiple times on purpose

That's why Love came in and replaced him. He will not see the field at corner the remainder of the season.

I think you posted it in the wrong thread....check the St. Brown thread.

I haven't seen corner play that atrocious since Gary Gray Michigan.

Not quite as dire as safety recrtuiting, but 13/14/15 corner recruiting was also

Just not enough bodies, much less top rated recruits.

13 and 14 is all on Diaco, looking for his mythical unicorn corners.

ND is lucky to land Crawford in 15, they were way behind in his recruitment till Diaco left.

And Crawford was burnt on a play when BVG left the middle of the field wide open and he was 1-on-1 in the slot. Luke was burnt a few times early. The kid had a tough game to say the least.

It would help all DB's if the D-line could sniff the QB and not let the runningback/QB consistently get to the second level.

Yes, bad coaching and preparation was evident. Then again, it has been for sure the last 3 games ND has played.

3 star has a good game: coaches found a diamond in the rough and develop talent well.

3 star has a bad game: this is what happens when you recruit a 3 star

I believe the issue isn't a 3 star or not, or can't cover in press, or fell for a double move, BK said they were in cover 3 when that happened. So, there was multiple mistakes. Coaching for one didn't have them lined up correctly. Or the freshman Safeties screwed up, or Drue did. Looks to be a preparation problem.

If this was a one time deal with new guys, then fine. My main issue this is happening game after game (last 3 for sure). Different players same issues. Just not acceptable.

Watching our DBs last night and the DBs in this Ole Miss v FSU game made me wondering when was the last time we had a legit DB. Someone that can shut things down. I know their recruiting is much better than ours but it seems like year after year we struggle in that position.

CanadianIrishFan, I can't argue that. Then again we have CB's in the NFL. No superstars, but in the NFL.

But, we haven't had any shut down with advanced athletic ability that is for sure.

I think our bigger issue is the lack of any pass rush or pass rushers. No speed rushers. No guys that scare anybody.

K. Russell was incredibly talented. I suspect he'll have a great career in KC if he can stay healthy.

I really wish he had one more year because he can turn and run with anyone.

Texas had 280 passing yards Sunday night

FSU had 419 passing yards last night

Ole Miss had 313 passing yards last night

Because UT could run at will. They had 5 rushing TD's. They didn't need to throw like FSU did or Ole miss did as UT had the lead, or was close.

And they missed about 3 TD passes. 2 were drops and one was overthrown.

If UT needed to throw for that many yards, they could've. Easily.
