Bleacher Report is good for one thing... entertaining polls/rankings/lists...

they bring absolutely zero real insight into the current sports world... but I hit it up for the "most badass wrestlers of the attitude era" type polls... good for a laugh.

Indeed. They are the BuzzFeed of the sports world and should be taken no more seriously.

I know some folks have cooled on Cornell, but I still think he will be a monster. Hilliard, Cornell, and Taylor -- all within reach, just have to seal the deal.

If we can somehow land all three I can't complain from there.

We will see in the end. Updates on this kid are all over the place.

If this report is true, great. We should be able to out recruit MSU. We've had on field success against them and their defense should take a step back this year.

4 of the first 5 posts from yesterday were on topic. And then I deleted the following 40. Please keep the discussion on Jashon.

Per bucknuts,Had a great time at osu, said they hit a big home run. Could see him and Hilliard playing there together. Loves urban and Larry Johnson.

I think it's officially time to start panicking about Cornell and, more importantly (IMO), Hilliard.

Shit. Forgot OSU picked up Larry Johnson. Don't know what it is, but the guy recruits (and develops) the hell out of defensive linemen.

Glad I have not bought into all the "ND Lock" stuff. I totally could see them both playing at OSU.

Cornell, maybe....and possibly Hilliard, however, tOSU will never be able to sell academics. Not even in the same area code. I believe Hilliard when he talks about academics being important.

The thing with Hilliard: He's from Ohio. He's got to know what Ohio State's about. If he were serious about them, why ever take Notre Dame seriously? And he seems like a serious kid. They'll be in the mix, for sure, but would be surprised if he actually winds up at OSU.
Cornell, on the other hand, seems impressionable, and maybe he likes the recruiting game. He's been perceived as a "Notre Dame lock" for a long time, based mostly on the Cretin-Durham pipeline. Could easily see that going awry this time around.

That connection didn't help us with Henderson which, in hindsight, was probably a good thing.

I know it's different situation that Nyles Morgan but I could see us turning up the heat on jashon like we did with him.

Can't lose this kid to OSU, would really hurt our chances with Hilliard in my opinion if Jashon goes to Osu! Screw urban

This is not a jab at Wilfong but how many sources does he have on this recruitment?

I may be wrong about this kid, and I don't think ND is in the driver's seat, but he seems to "fall in love" with each place that he visits. Loved Michigan St. and everyone CB'd him there. Then there was Alabama and the CB's started rolling in for Bama. Now it is Ohio State. I am not saying that he and/or Hillard won't wind up there, but it seems that this is something that may play out for a while.

No idea who exactly, but it was someone at the camp today. Here was his full post:

I just put in a Crystal Ball for Cornell to the Buckeyes since talking to a source out here. His recruitment is fluid.

As a Columbus native, would prefer OSU to most other schools, esp Michigan. Still ND above all things by a factor of 10. I'm not sure why kids get pumped up to play games against Miami(OH) and Akron with that goddawful lesbian announcer doing the play by play. OSU has mediocre academics and plays exactly one moderately exciting game a year.

I think he has hired Chris Clark as a recruiting advisor. His best visit ever is always the last place he visited. In the end, I think whoever uses the best sales gimmicks/tactics will end up with him. This kind of recruitment does not typically go well for ND. I may be wrong, but I think the only place I haven't heard him "fall in love" with is ND.
