Man, I think he looked great in that recent clip. It's great to see him getting rid of blocks and really nice closing speed. I'm drooling...sorry.
I feel supremely confident that he is Irish on Thursday. I don't think he's a take at UF and Miami is his back up.
Not a take at UF? hmmmmm. Can you elaborate LL.
Right now UF has Jerome Baker and Adonis Thomas committed and they are going after Jeffrey Holland and Roquan Smith. There is a lot of talk out there right now that they aren't prepared to take Tevon's commitment with those 4 guys being in play. I think there is a good chance this changes as Baker and Thomas seem to be looking around but thats how it stands as of now. This is also one of the reasons that some (myself included) were a little gun shy about accepting his commitment and shutting down LB recruiting. Good news is we have Bilal and that concern is gone.
It's either Detective James Gordon or Commissioner Gordon! If we are talking about my boy James Gordon you better be getting the facts straight.

Everyone knew Baker was going to OSU. Won't affect Coney
He seems like a very disciplined player and is a pretty sure tackler but I just haven't been that impressed with his film. Based on his offer list a lot of folks who know a lot more than me like him so I'd be more than happy if he committed. I suppose there are worse players to have on your team than a disciplined, reliable tackler at mlb.
Why would the Irish stay on Coney if he were to verbally commit to Florida? It would be a clear indication that Coney is most comfortable with the college course requirements of a University of Alabama scholarship athlete.
Can't see why anyone would commit to Fla with the uncertainty of their HC position. If he pulls the trigger for the Gators, I would expect him to revisit it if Will doesn't survive.... which all indications are he will not. Hopefully the Irish stay on him even after his announcement if he doesn't choose ND.
I'd actually be more worried about the opposite. That he commits to ND but is the first recruiting phone call made by whoever replaces Muschamp come December, and decides he'd really rather stay closer to home. No one's committing to Will Muschamp at this point, but they might to Florida when there's a new coach on board.
Good news is that he's an EE, so that window to flip is narrower than most. And that our LB class is pretty solid regardless now with Bilal. But still, I'd wait to declare Coney Irish until I see him enrolled.
Whoever is the new Florida coach wont have time to recruit him. Say a new coach is hired Dec 1....that leaves 1 month and a huge dead period to build a relationship and convince him to come to a school that he turned down already. There are going to be better options for the new coach to recruit at LB than Coney and I dont see time put into Coney from the new staff to reel him in.

Do we not have better options as well? (side note, I really wanted Osa Masina).

If there are that many better options to recruit at LB, other than Coney, why are so many excited about getting him to sign with the Irish? I was under the assumption he was a massive sleeper pick, ready to skyrocket up the rankings when people see his senior tape/numbers. Is this not the case?

What are the deets on Coney's announcement? I heard ESPN. That true? Time?
