Awesome news. We will need to rely on our stable down this stretch, definitely don't want to overwork Adams.

Adams has yet to have 20+ carries a game, and had 2 games with less than 10 because he is such a trucking beast.

Adams averages 15.0 carries/game. 53 RBs and QBs average more carries/game.

Wimbush averages 13.7 carries/game.

And that's how where want to keep it. Would you like to up Adams' carries to 20+? Don't tinker with something that isn't broken. I'd love to see him set the single season rushing record.

I'd like to see Wimbush's carries go down. More Dex. As discussed, keep Josh's carries where they are. What a beautiful backfield.

From what I gather Dexter has to learn to play through some pain. Most players this time of year aren't 100% healthy but you play through some pain. I think Dexter has to realize even if his ankle isn't 100% he can still play. Josh Adams always seems to have something bothering him physically but he plays through it. You pretty much have to drag him off the field. In oth er news it appears Tony Jones is finally healthy. Sam Mustipher commented we're ready to see the real Tony Jones now, the one we heard about in spring and training camp. Apparently he had been playing with a sore ankle throughout the first half of season. Now he feels better than he has all season.

looks like DWs ankle still isn't healed yet. he had that long run in the 2nd half and had to leave the game limping. not sure how much were going to get out of DW for the rest of the season, would be too bad.

I thought he was holding his hamstring when he was headed to the sideline. Anyone else see that. He was noticeably hobbled on that run after getting through the line. If healthy he was gone for a big chunk. Agree it hurts if he isn’t healthy the rest of the way. He is a talent.

I thought BK confirmed it was a quad contusion yesterday

Yes, he said it was an old quad contusion injury that keeps flaring up, and it's not his ankle. Although, you can clearly see one of his ankles heavily taped, and possibly wearing the ankle device to assist with running. Kelly even said he really had no idea when Dex would be good to go, which is clearly saying something since Kelly is wayyyy more optimistic on injuries than anyone else. All he said was he's a day to day guy.

Honestly I would rest him until the playoffs if we make it or bowl game whatever. Give his reps to Mcintosh and Tony Jones Jr. If adams doesn't come back Mcintosh and Tony Jones will be relied on heavily next year

On Mcintosh... I love all our kids and think it's great he's getting PT but even my wife was like, "Whoa he's way slower than the other guys" when he had a few open field chances on Saturday...

Lol are you watching the same guy I am? Mcintosh is probally the second fastest back on our team, right behind Dexter? He is very quick

This week is the game where we really need Dex, much like we could have used more of him against Georgia. The kid hits the hole fast and gets upfield. Nice change of pace from Adams. Hopefully his quad is OK.

No. With that run he was referencing, Adams runs away from the defense and scores a touchdown. McIntosh is quick and has good vision, Adams and Williams are on another level as far as breaking big runs.

I think I know which play you are referencing and if it is the same then I think it was more a slow recognition of the hole that prevented him from breaking it and not a general slowness. I would say thats the biggest difference between Adams and the other backs. Adams knows where the hole is going to open a second before it does and is able to hit it perfectly because of that. Dex doesn't have the same ability, but he tries to hit the smallest hole as fast as possible, so it works. McIntosh is more like Josh, but isn't experienced enough with the gane speed to see the way Josh does.

I really wish we had Dex for this game but he needs to heal properly. A hobbled horse isn't worth a sh!t so no point in putting him out there now.

He shouldn't even dress until healthy and I say this with some pains because I believe Dex could help us a great deal in our upcoming games but he needs to get healthy.

Agree 100% I feel the same way. Adams and Dex are on another level w speed and strength. Love Mc but he is not the same as having the big dogs on the field.

Mcintosh is a slightly poor man's Atkinson IMO.

Don't see that at all, Mcintosh seems more quick than fast. Atkinson was the opposite. He actually reminds me more of Cam McDaniel.

He definitely lacked his typical burst prior to the secondary injury. I guess his ankle was pretty bad to begin with. Hope he heals well, love his running style.

He can't move laterally because he runs straight up, and has ok speed. hence, poor mans.

On Deon's big run where he cut back across the field it looked like he would run a 5.8.

Adams turns several of those opportunities Deon and Tony had into TDs for sure.

Edit: I like McIntosh and think he will be a big playmaker for us next year. But he needs to hit legs and build that pull-away speed.
