On Deon's big run where he cut back across the field it looked like he would run a 5.8.

Adams turns several of those opportunities Deon and Tony had into TDs for sure.

Edit: I like McIntosh and think he will be a big playmaker for us next year. But he needs to hit legs and build that pull-away speed.

Macintosh looked pretty fast in the UNC game.

I like DW, but he's beginning to remind me of Darren McFadden.

We all love Adams, but Dexter reminds me most of an NFL back. He hits the hole quick and can cut. Now if he could ever get healthy and get some carries....

Mac could have over 1000 yards rushing by the end of this year. Regardless that is awesome for a third string/fourth string back heading into the year.

Dex kinda reminds me of Alex Collins.

Adams does not turn several of those opps into TDs. The majority of his long runs for TDs are one cut behind the line and then a mad dash. Hardly any lateral movement beyond the line.

While I agree that's been the majority of his big runs, he has shown the ability to make jump cuts and cross the field when he needs to. On the play I was referencing there was nothing Deon did that Josh couldn't have done. I was talking about top-end speed and the ability to put distance between yourself and the defender. Josh easily turns that run into a touchdown in my opinion.

Lot of intelligent posters on this board...
Someone please explain to me why Dex is not playing. BK just said he's perfectly healthy.
Personally, I think he's the best pure back on the team. It BLOWS my mind that he's not playing.

Keeping him a secret until our NC game next season

I hope that others actually know this answer, but this absence is a puzzle to me as well. The problems that other good backs have had getting on the field in the past have revolved around not being able to help pass protect and catch the ball/run routes properly. If I had to guess it's pass protection if he really is healthy.

He's shown he can catch the ball...The one, maybe two times he's been thrown to. Pass blocking...who knows..he never gets a chance to do it.
At least, he should be getting 10 carries a game. I'm to the point where I really hope he transfers, because the kid has talent, and deserves an opportunity to show it...somewhere...even if it's not ND.

I would transfer if I was him. There must be a reason he isn’t playing but nobody seems to know. I hate to take wild guesses but maybe he’s not a hard worker? Maybe BK wants him gone but can’t pull his scholarship? Only Dex and the coaches know.

If I was him I would have transferred after the Georgia coaching tragedy. Adams wouldn’t be all broken down if coaches utilized Dex. What a shame!

Although it’s never articulated as such, the staff plays favorites. It’s just the way it is.

Did he play at all? I missed most of the game as I went to the Bama/Mercer game (had a terrible time). I'm actually surprised that he is supposed to be healthy after the way he ran a couple of weeks ago against Wake. Figured it would be the bowl game before he could get back to 100%.

I think he got in for one play but didn’t touch the ball.
Would love to hear a reporter dig into this.

It's really quite simple. He's not healthy. And he hasn't learned to play with some pain like Adams does.

Then why does Kelly keep saying the complete opposite?

Yeah that’s what I thought initially but then why does he come in at garbage time against the u and BK just say it’s the best injury report he’s had on him all year?
