Maybe others will use this as a reason for not coming out early. He stays and maybe we have a better shot at his cocky lil bro. Great advice from his dad the Ball wannabe. His year last season showed nerdy little redeeming draftworthy qualities. Maybe he can come out and show everybody the 190 mistakes made ahead of him.

One of the most unlikable ND players since Jimmy Clausen.

Why? Because he left early? I don't think that says much about his character. I think it was just a bad decision on his part, and he might not have played up to his potential. Not sure how its an unlikable thing either; I've met him before and he's a pretty nice guy

Not really surprised that Josh has not been drafted. But still think he needed to go. He will get a FA job and get a chance, but given his running style, may be tough. Bo Scarbrough is still out there with a similar style. If he completed his degree, he still made the right choice. St. Brown watching the blue-gold scrimmage and still on the board this late, he has to be wondering. I didn't think he made the correct call then, and it is certainly playing out that way. Wanted Dallas to take him in the 3rd. Shocked he is still there. Wonder if the St. Brown's are the Ball's of college football?

100% has to regret leaving early. I thought for sure he would get drafted in at least the 4th after that 40 time.

I think the Packers just got a real steal. A diamond in the rough. Cheers!

Maybe he left early because of asshole fans?

I never had issues with him, his dad certainly rubbed me the wrong way.
However if I were him and you told me ahead of time I’d fall to the sixth round and get taken by the pack, I’d take in a heartbeat and wouldn’t think twice.
Good luck to him!

Very impressed he got drafted. Had very little actual production in high school or college.

Hope he gets his degree if he doesn’t make the practice squad.

Reality hammer finally hit him.

I think this kid is going to turn some heads, especially with Aaron Rodgers throwing to him. EQ is physically gifted, I hope he figures it out at the next level. Thank you for your service.

What the hell? What did he do to deserve this kind of ire? I understand disliking his dad for comments he made about coaches (even though basically all of them were correct) and his little brother for his antics... but what did EQ do to warrant these comments?

When he declared my gut said 7th round, after we all kicked it around on here for a bit I thought the consensus of 5th-7th was pretty reasonable. The truth is that he got bad advice... he basically got told that with his measurables that he’d be a second or third round pick. And lots of “experts” parroted such advice projecting him as a day 2 pick or to go shortly thereafter... even though anyone with half a brain should’ve seen that his film was full of red flags as a pass catcher.

With that being said, he landed in a great spot (if he can make the roster) where his size/speed combo could be very valuable and he could play himself into a great career if he does a better job of making the tough catch.

58 balls for 961 yards and 9 TDs are a lot more than a "little actual production". Those numbers put him 3rd in each category for an ND soph in the program's history.

I though he still had work to do and should have stayed. According to Pete Sampson ESB's looking at $2.5 mill and a $118K signing bonus. That should give him the focus to produce better than his '17 campaign.

Green Bay had selected two bigger bodied receivers before St. Brown, but they are lacking something more behind Davante Adams and Randall Cobb. Jordy Nelson and Jeff Janis have moved to other teams, and the Packers don't have many returning, contributing players aside from Geronimo Allison. Some prosperity for St. Brown. With work, he can make the team and make a contribution in his first year.

EQ is definitely better than 6th round quality. When he got drafted ESPN showed highlights of his sophomore year. I love how everyone puts the blame on Wimbush last year for EQ's performance. EQ got double teamed and dropped catchable balls. EQ does have NFL skills, I would've like to see him stick around for his senior year and be a higher pick in next years draft.

Good luck to EQ!!

In Walter Football's Team Grades for Green Bay's Draft:

NFL Draft Team Grade: A Grade
207. Equanimeous St. Brown, WR, Notre Dame A+ Grade
Wow, what a steal! I consistently had Equanimeous St. Brown in the second or third round of my mock drafts, and I'm shocked that he lasted past the fourth frame. St. Brown was very productive in 2016, but that changed this past season because of the quarterbacking problems at Notre Dame. St. Brown could develop into a solid NFL starter, so he's a steal this late in the draft.

Mentioned to @RMSummerlin & @thorku that ESB & family do not stretch. Was told it’s because cheetahs don’t stretchJosh Norris added,

Via McGinn's website, NFL scout on Packers WR St. Brown: "Has some quirks that I think come from the dad. He refused to play special teams. He doesn’t stretch. He might end up butting heads a little bit with the weight coach. Not disrespectful. But you’re getting the dad."

WalterFootball has really been the google search function of draft alignments for me and nothing more. Their analysis is almost always subpar at best.

They gave the Anthony Miller grade a "C", which is absolutely ludicrous. No disrespect to EQ, but Miller is a much better receiver and was a major steal for the Bears.

Sorry, but EQ dropped to the 6th for a reason. His want to is questionable and it shows on film. He just doesn't possess the competitiveness to go up and fight for the football and until I see otherwise, that's how it is. He's a stark contrast to Miller, who doesn't possess the overwhelming size of EQ, but works his ever-loving tail off and does everything in his power to get as much as he can out of a play.

Nah, I don't buy it

Me neither, we all (and by we, I mean you guys as I read along his recruitment) knew Aman-Ra was a Trojan the whole time, especially towards the end of his recruitment. He and his family just liked the attention.

Besides, the silver lining for me (selfishly admit) is that he's catching passes in Green Bay now.

I think his dad liked the attention more than them. I've always felt dad was calling the final shots.
