who would you draft ahead of him? Trubisky? Falk? Watson has regressed even more!

And I get that...but Watson will go ahead of him. He wins games.

Davis Webb outta Cal will get some love. 6'5, can sling it. Not sure how high...

And my Sleeper is Mike White outta Western Kentucky. Transfer from USF...big kid that doesn't turn the ball over

Kizer hasn't regressed, he just didn't take as big of a leap as we were expecting. His interceptions were down and his touchdowns were up, with an increased load on his shoulders. He's not ready a la Andrew Luck, but if in the right situation, he'll be effective.

What? His accuracy is way down. He isn't reading defenses like he was last year. I've seen him miss more open guys than last year.

He's only thrown one less INT. Only thrown for about 30 more yards while attempting over 30 more passes. And YPA is down.

His QBR is down 9pts.

He's absolutely regressed. You're kidding me. Anyone that can't tell he's taken a step back, just simply doesn't know the QB position. Or is a total Kizer fan.

1 less INT in 26 MORE attempts. Also don't forget the NC State game absolutely destroyed his QBR which is unfair.

So let's just get rid of everyone's bad games, huh?

Seems "fair"

And he had a horrible a game against Stanford as well....Should we eliminate that one as well?

Are you forgetting there was a monsoon during that game? I'll wait for you to name me the other QBs that were forced to play in those conditions (besides the NC St. QB).

I'm not saying DK has played as well as thought he could or that he hasn't regressed but he certainly played relatively well under the circumstances and he is going to be a good NFL QB IMO.

I would not spend a pick on White before late rounds. It seems any QB can succeed at WKU under Brohm. Brohm is the real name to watch at WKU. He could move up to a better mid-level program or stick around WKU a year or two longer but he is a future P5 HC for sure.

(And I was gonna say the NCST QB....LOL)

What about QB's that played through injuries? Or Snow? Or other rain storms?

I mean. cut the "feel sorry for me" crap. It's football.

Was it horrible conditions? Yes. Did BK call a god awful game? Yes.

But it counts. Like every other game.

With his size and numbers...he'll get some looks.

But you're probably right about Brohm..he's been waiting a while.

I saw 2 up to date mock drafts yesterday, 1 had him going to the Bears at 3, Watson at 2 to SF, the other only had the kid from UNC as a 1st rounder, and 1st overall pick at that. That mock draft had Peppers to Bears at 4 spot.. One can dream on that scenario!

SB Nation has him 3rd to Chicago behind Watson to the Niners. 11/28/2016
FoxSports Walter Football had him #1 to Browns but dropped him to #4 to Chicago in place of Trubisky to Browns. 11/24/2016.
CBS NFL has him ranked as 30th best prospect and 3rd best QB (Trubisky 4/Watson 6). Projected 1st/2nd round. Dane Brugler has him #2 to Niners and Rob Rang has him missing 1st round. 11/21/2016

Thanks for posting this. NFL scouting industry still loves him.

As long as this holds true, he should go.

HE'S NOT GOING TO GET MORE NFL READY WASTING TIME PRACTICING THE READ OPTION AND DESIGNED QB RUNNING PLAYS.

Go get coached up in the NFL. I won't cry if the Bears take him AND keep Hoyer on to run the team till he's ready. I'd rather take Garrett or Allen and the Top WR (Corey Davis if possible) on the board in the 2nd and then go after the best remaining QB in the 3rd.

First time I've actually wanted a kid to go early. We're not winning the NC next year, so let's just get Wimbush out there for the future.

Yes. And in college he is limited to twenty hours of practice time. Throw in school work and I don't understand those that think him staying in college will make him more prepared for the NFL. He has the physical tools to be a good NFL QB, what he needs is reps and NFL coaching.

I agree 100%. Best of luck to him...but we are a dumpster fire with or without him.

Might as well get Wimbush some lumps and experience.

Looks like Mcshay and Kiper both came out and said Kizer needs to come back for another year. So, assuming he is coming back. Kelly anoint him starter? Or another QB controversy?

please ignore them and turn pro. We can't have this toxicity again next year.

I want him to leave. I like him but he is to hooked on the home run play and i believe he checks out of too many plays. Go to the NFL and learn behind someone.

This is all from perspective but Kizer coming back could potentially set us up for a year without a decent QB. Who's to say that Wimbush wouldn't end up transferring out? If he isn't going to play next year he could end up heading out if Kelly/Sanford aren't back next year. If he WOULD transfer out that'd leave us with Ian Book (maybe Davis?) who is a pretty big ? mark. Let's be honest, there's a huge reason Jurkovec is committed to ND because of Sanford. If Kelly would get fired, Sanford would probably go with him.

There's no chance of him falling out of the second, right? That may end up better for him anyways, as there would be less pressure and the team who drafts Kizer can tell their fanbase that they are playing it slow with him. Give him a ton of help a la early Big Ben or Dak, have a good QB coach with receivers, and watch him develop into a great NFL QB.

Ben started week #2 his rookie year, lost that game remained the starter and they went 15-1 that year.

If he's lucky, he'll get the Phillip Rivers treatment. Sit two years behind a Drew Brees and then take over in the off season.

Screw Mel & McShay, the opportunity cost of coming back, losing the starting job and then being forced to take a grad transfer to reestablish your draft order is astronomical.

His draft stock was always dependent on a pro day / combine results anyways. Everyone can prognosticate all day long about when he's going but what matters is when the team reps get to watch and talk with you in person.

Wimbush has 3 years left to play. If he were to leave, he'd sit out '17 and have 2 left. So even if Kizer comes back, Wimbush doesn't benefit really. I like to think if Kizer is back he's starter from day one, and I'd love to have hiim back. With that said, I can't blame the kid for leaving, and would welcome having Wimbush be our #1 and just ball out.

Your math is right on how much he would play if he stays or goes BUT certain parties might have expectations due to promises / arrangements that may or may not have been made. In this case, a bird in the Kizer's not worth 3 in the Wimbush.

Very true. And these decisions to transfer are not based soley on logic either. So he very well could say he had enough of this place, and pack his bags. Is Wimbush this kind of guy? Who knows. I like to think not, but it's unclear.

Considering Hackenberg went in the second last year, I don't see any way he falls out of the second round. People criticize Kizer's "regression" this year but Hackenberg was 92nd in QBR last year and has worse physical traits.

Late first round has always seemed kind of ideal for a QB unless by some fluke the Browns fall to the 23rd overall pick and it's 2007.

You guys are crazy. Kizer is going to impress people at the combine and in team meetings. He's got every physical tool you could want and is a good kid from all reports. I have a feeling Hue Jackson is going to fall in love with him and take him at #1. If not there no way he slips past Cleveland, San Fran, Chicago, and Cleveland again in the top 10. His floor is wherever the Eagles pick the Browns own falls.
