I've thought we get Juju for a while now because from everything I have read, he is very different than the rest of his LB Poly kids. He was blown away by the presence of religion on campus and he has been described a devoutly religious person. I think that really puts ND over the edge. He just needed reminded of what he loved about ND with the visit (the grotto, the cathedral, the family atmosphere amongst not just the players, but the whole student body, etc). Those are just my thoughts and I wholeheartedly think we pull him from the southwest.

Think we would be in good to decent shape with Bo if he could have been accepted academically. Once it became clear there was no chance, both sides moved on.

I'm reminded of Redfield when I think of JuJu. The easy choice is USC. But that's not always the right choice. I think JuJu and his family know that and it's the entire reason he hasn't already committed to the Trojans. Like everyone else, I'm not getting my hopes up...but then again, you have to like ND's chances.

Once again, I was told last night by someone who follows USC recruiting about as closely as you can and that has never steered me wrong, that USC has pretty much locked JuJu down these last couple of weeks with the help of his uncle, and that this weekend they expect it to be over for good (whether that means a verbal commitment or a silent commitment and an announcement on NSD).

I'm glad the ND coaches are much more confident than I am. He's telling them things that he's not telling USC coaches, thus keeping us mathematically alive. I know people have said it reminds them of Redfield, but Max visited ND and immediately fell in love and flipped soon thereafter. After his visit things were always trending ND's way. Juju is being much more methodical, and the trend is towards USC, not ND.

The four-star prospect recently narrowed his list to a final four of Notre Dame, Oregon, UCLA and USC, but the Trojans have to believe they are in the lead. Smith dropped by USC last week and, while wearing a Trojans jersey, posed for photographs that have gone viral on social media and message boards. He is being recruited at receiver by the staff, including his uncle Johnny Nansen, but Smith said he wants to sit down with defensive backs coach Keith Heyward this weekend, too. The Trojans have an opportunity to seal the deal.

Yeah, the hot girl wins this every time when you're 17 years old. Hats off to Denbrock either way.
