Per a USC student who ran into both Juju and Damian Mama on their OV's a couple of hrs ago, they both L-O-V-E USC big time and are expecting to be Trogans when allis said and done. And yes, this student is legit and his info is almost 100% spot on.

Not that any of this is news of course, but just thought I'd share because of few people are still holding out hope, and as ND fans the last thing we should ever have during recruiting season is hope...

Not sure how much you have been paying attention to his recruitment, so I don't even know how to respond. Completely different scenarios you are talking about. But go ahead and ignore the info and keep on hoping. Go Irish.

Loving the visit and loving the school are two different things. I can go on a date and have a great time and love the date, but doesn't mean I love the girl.

I'm kinda surprised that a couple members here can't see the disctinction between loving an OV and loving the school, and the difference between some random student over someone whose info is nearly 100% accurate. It's like they only see what they want to see and not what's real. This is basically a done deal boys, and has been for awhile. USC has some nice momentum going recruiting-wise right now, as should be expected with the coaching change. Too bad they're already at about 71 schollies and that number will only decrease with injuries and academic casualties.

These kids will realize that USC is still in trouble...

Easy Hollywood. It wasn't too long ago that I wanted to believe everybody loved ND as much as I did (and the rest of IE).

Some IE members are pretty much blind to the rest of college sports/life/anything else because we love ND so much. I'll never understand why a kid wants to go to O$U or Florida, or U$C. Never. I grew up in a very Catholic family who loved ND to a fault. And I'll never apologize for that. Ever.

But the truth is that not every kid grew up that way. It took me awhile to realize it and accept it. It just takes some of us longer than others. Be patient with us - we love ND but not all of us have had the real life experiences that you've had in So Cal. Some of us think that everybody feels the same way about ND that we do and it takes some time to realize it's not that way.

You're a great ambassador for the school and the football program, but don't forget that some of us still need a little perspective. Hell I did until I followed recruiting to three years. It's alright my dude. Some of us are just blinded by our love of the University even though recruits aren't.

If he liked ND as much as USC, he'd visit it just as much. It doesn't matter that he lives near USC and 1,000 miles from ND. He'd find a way to swing by on the weekends. He'd hop on a bus or do whatever magic people do to travel a 1,000 miles in an afternoon- maybe ride a unicorn or something.

Because he goes to USC more, we know he can't be really considering ND. He can't be interested in the one BCS school that is built around faith and academics and that has one of the best traditions in the country because he also likes the excellent private school near his house.

You can only like one. Everyone secretly choses immediately and just lies until signing day.

We also know that if he choses USC, that means he was never really considering ND, and anyone who thought he was is a homer.

I think it's pretty clear what is happening here. Loy and Wiltfong have a source in the ND football office who is genuinely optimistic about Juju based on his relationship with the staff ... but that source doesn't know what Juju is telling SC people, and what he is telling SC people differs dramatically from what he tells ND people.

But at this point, even Loy and Wiltfong admit that SC seems to have the momentum in this recruitment ... they just won't admit that it's over.
