Had a nice game. Still with some issues with the hands. Has a TD if he doesn't "double catch" that pass that ended up on the 2 yard line.

But he's a solid #2, as Miller and Strong have dropped out of favor.

I have season tickets, so It's awesome to get to watch him!

Oh, I know. And it's scary because he'd have two more TD's about 80 more yards at this point.

Haven't seen the Texans play yet. How has Osweiler looked so far? I should know this but is Watt back from his injury? And how is Clowney doing?

Watt has played and played well this past week.

Clowney is obviously not the gamechanger they hoped when they drafted him 1st. Not sure if it's just injuries or lack of desire.

Osweiler has looked good, IMO. Should give the Texans all they need to win that terrible division.

Dark house super bowl team. Could be second best team in AFC behind the Pats.

My honest opinion? He's Schaub with an arm. Makes some really dumb throws into coverage at times, but not bad. He's a 6 outta 10 kinda guy.

The nice thing is that he's willing to sling it downfield. That's the biggest change in our offense...we have a QB that will take chances, which opens things up. Having our weapons is a plus.

But I'm not sold he's an elite NFL QB. But who knows? He may start playing at a high level when we get further into the season.

Watt had a great game Sunday, 2 sacks and was back to his disruptive self. And Clowney has been great as well. He's so physically dominate and throws tackles around with ease. Just tends to overrun plays and puts himself outta position..which is expected for a guy who has changed positions again (he's now lining up at DE hand on the ground)

But of all of them? Whitney Mercilus is the guy who is killing it. Dude looks pro-bowl caliber and seems to have figured it out. He has made huge plays in both games.

Not true at all. What have you been watching? He's' been great so far. In the backfield constantly. Also, he's now lining up at DE, not OLB.

He may finally be figuring things out, but you have to admit he's been a major disappointment up to this season.

Sure. But the point was about this season.

He's killing guys...and I doubt you'll find a quicker first step

and attitude.

This I agree on. He's not the most motivated...but hopefully a little bit of JJ rubs off on him.

He's playing well right now. Hope it continues and he stays healthy. Funny thing is, we don't need a world beater in Clowney. Just keep getting pressure and disrupting the offense and allow JJ and Mercilus to make plays.

Bad offer list, good tape, good camp performances recently.... interest to see what happens here. Do we think he can play DB? Seems to have the right frame for our ideal zone coverage corner.

I just think its funny to read the early impressions on Fuller. Page 1 and 2 are worth a chuckle.

Yup.

GREAT time at Penn State! Coach O'Brien made me remember why I committed in the 1st place. I'm 100% committed to the greatest college.

I just laughed. Sorry, kid.

Enjoy mediocrity

He will need to hope for mediocrity

Not sour grapes, but I am glad he stayed committed.

Not crying over this at all

Yeah, it's always funny to go back and see what people said about some kids before they come here. There are ones that people expected would ride the bench and end up big time players, and then hyped players that never really make it. Always cracks me up to see people question why we recruited Rees in his thread, people figuring he MAY get some time his senior year or something. He ended up being a major player and starting some or most of our games for a 4 year stretch, part of the winningest class since '93. You never know what's going to happen on the field and on the depth chart sometimes.

Let's not go overboard on this one. Hopefully he will be open to playing CB and turns out to be a good one. ND really needs some "game changing" receivers and none of the current 2013 verbals fit this description. Not to say they can't be productive, but if you want to compete for the National Championship you will need better then "productive" players.

This the best of the group.

I'm actually kind of suprised the majority of people that post on this site are so excited about this kid.

When Brian Kelly said in the recent press conference that the team wouldn't try to poach any Penn State players that "were committed" to the team, I just assumed he meant this year's recruits as well. Out of respect for the new head coach coming into a tough situation.
" We treated as though those players were committed to Penn State on their roster, and we kind of used a recruiting scenario, if you will. They were committed, and the only way that we'd be involved with them is if they decommited and publicly said they're looking to transfer." Fuller said on Twitter he was "100% committed" to Penn State, what? A week earlier?

Ok, even without all of that...this amazing class is filling up fast. Does Coach Kelly really want to use up a scholarship this early on in the process for a "filler" player? Think about it...Robinson has his size, Onwualu is a super-athlete. What does this guy bring to the table thats so special? I would have thought the coaching staff to wait for a speed guy like Hunter or even Allen, then maybe pick this kid up to fill a slot.

Don't get me wrong, a commit is a commit. I'm just questioning the strategy.

Another gem from earlier.

Welcome aboard Will! Hope the staff views him as having ability to play CB and a "flex" prospect.... all things considered, I want another 4:s: style WR like Boyd or Hunter.

Irish Illustrated‏@NDatRivals

Notre Dame projects Will Fuller as a cornerback or wide receiver. In other words, he's an "athlete" prospect for this class.

Per drayer's post, I went back and read the first couple pages. I do think it's interesting how so many on here and on the coaching staff liked him as a CB too... does anyone doubt he could be a GREAT zone cover corner like Sherman with his length and speed? And given his questionable hands, are we sure that wasn't his best position? Obviously, he ended up being a dominant WR, just weird to think about.

Also, kind of crazy to think we end up passing on Boyd after getting Hunter... realistically, we would have CRUSHED WR recruiting in that class if we always project Onwualu as a defender and took Boyd.

He doesn't care about football. Not going to worry about missing out on him.

Board does not miss this guy lol...

I'll be the first to admit I was dead wrong on Will. I didn't think who could even be a starting WR. Thought his best fit was CB.

The thing we didn't know when he was being recruited was his world class speed.

One thing that does stick out in memory about Will's senior year was that Devin Butler said he was the toughest WR he matched up against in camps. That kind of stuck with me.

I couldn't be happier that I was dead wrong on his potential. Now he is tearing it up in the NFL.

That was Bennett Jackson's measurements coming out to.

After watching Fuller's highlight tape I don't think he's as fast as Bennett Jackson is in pads. He may run a 4.4 out of pads but in pads he looks more like a 4.6 guy. I like his ball skills though.

I enjoy this one.

Can't wait to see Will Fuller play tonight! Could be the first WR in history to have 3 100 yard receiving games to start a carrier.

I wish he still played in a gold helmet ... I suspect we'd be 3-0 if he did. sigh

I don't recall Will suiting up as a CB or a safety.

But, I do know what you are saying. I also feel this team is missing the home run threat. EQ and CJ are really really good, but not home run threats yet. CJ is close and could turn into one soon.

I'm hoping Claypool becomes that home run threat this year though.
