I always said that i would like to see him as Wide receiver (ala Juju Smith), because of his speed. Playing defense, he can not take advantage of his best attribute (straight line speed) because he is is very slow to react, and that negates his best asset. He looks very small wearing pads despite looking like a greek god when he is shirtless and is very tentative to tackle. Great athlete, but never liked him as a defensive player.

When i saw his instagram, read interviews and etc i always thought he was a role model, but it seems like he is not.

I wish him the best.

Just a shame!! Was hoping to see him really step up this year. The coaching staff did the right thing IMO.

Dismissed from the team. Wow, BK laid it down hard. I'm glad the Redfield era is officially over.

Remember, this is just BK's team punishment. They still have University discipline, and the justice system to deal with.

If they piss clean and Max copped to the gun AND pot, it's a pretty open and shut case I would think no? Perhaps the two items were in his pants, how the eff are you supposed to know?

I'm not 100% sure the gun was his.... Why wouldn't it been on him if it wasn't his car... Seems like he has gotten in trouble in past from team and Kelly wasn't giving him a 5th chance

He never came close to living up to his promise on the field. I can't imagine Studstill could play any worse than Max has. I hope he gets his stuff together and graduates from ND but I for one am glad I don't have to watch him blow coverages and miss tackles anymore.

I'm just holding out hope the only casualty of this mess is Max going home.

That sucks.

why? Because he made a dumbass decision like every college student has made in their day? Or because he busted his ass on the football field for ND for three years? Is he mature as a 12 year old? Yes, but at times Redfield busted his ass and to bad he never lived up to his potential which IMO wasn't always on him. I was a huge Max Redfield fan and it sucks he's not a leader when he needed to be and his career had to end like this. It's hard for me to hate on someone as a person for making mistakes like a college kid because fck I've made them just like most people have. But Max really did fuck up and I'm just honestly sad his career ended like this.

From what I've gathered, I'm not sure Redfield busted his ass for anything within the football program besides his beach muscles. I have a hard time believing a player of his athletic ability would be so bad had he been giving everything he had to football.

Good riddance. I will never understand how some players don't recognize the unbelievable opportunity that they have.

I am not saying Redfield busted his ass 100% of the time because he didn't at all. But the bigger the stage the bigger Redfield played. He had a couple great games and then there were plenty of games he looked like a walk on. Look like Tarzan played like Jane at times. I don't know why I love Redfield so much maybe because I've never been so jacked about landing a commitment but what you said it's wrong at all.

Well I'd say Oklahoma but he only had a gun, he didn't pistol whip a girlfriend.

"Because he made a dumbass decision like every college student has made in their day"

Most college kids don't get caught driving around with illegal guns while doing drugs and speeding. Redfield has been a cancer for awhile. He never learned from any of his "second chances" and will face consequences.
Sometimes consequences are more valuable than second (or third) chances.
