I worded that poorly. I was referring to Max having played under BVG. My bad.

Dang! Sounds like he's the DII version of Shaun Crawford. #StarsDon'tLie

Dang, sounds like IUP has a porous line.
Second half comeback falls short for IUP Football in 27-17 national semifinal loss to West Florida - Indiana University of Pennsylvania Athletics
Max's college career came to a close with a 27-17 defeat to West Florida in the NCAA Div 2 semi final game this past saturday.
West Florida (11-3) will play Texas A&M-Commerce (13-1) next Saturday for the 2017 NCAA Division II Championship next Saturday in Kansas City, Kan.
Redfield didn't kit up but did the previous week in a win vs. Assumption
I look forward to watching him tear up the NFL. Sounds like he's ready for that jump.
definitely should get some buzz considering the Div2 school he attended paired with his history and athleticism.
I was being facetious
still think he's an intriguing draft prospect.
It's weird, because he's got all the physical tools, but his mental makeup doesn't favor the college game... but they will probably transport just fine to the NFL, where dudes with unique ways of thinking and operating can thrive in the right situation.
So basically an environment where smoking weed on the reg and being charged with felonies is more tolerated...
kid had gone to any Pac12 school he would have been a stud

That, and somewhere where having brain-wave activity similar to Kanye West's isn't a detriment, but rather can help when all of your hours are focused on football.
Who was going to take reps from him? John Turner? On the field the guy was a starter for us for, what, two years? At least? Max may not have lived up to his stars, but he can play. And if he can convince a team of that, he’ll get a shot on Sundays. His off-the-field issues are really nothing unusual in the NFL. Just a tough fit for Notre Dame.

Redfield didn't kit up but did the previous week in a win vs. Assumption
Redfield and his third-ranked Indiana University of Pennsylvania teammates defeated, ND coach Brian Kelly’s alma mater, No. 15 Assumption College, 27-22 in an NCAA Division II quarterfinal playoff game at Indiana, Pa.
The victory might turn out to be bittersweet for Redfield, who was carted off the field during the game after making three tackles in the first half. His status for IUP’s semifinal matchup next weekend was not immediately known.
Redfield, a former five-star recruit, has amassed 78 tackles this season for IUP (13-0), with one tackle for loss, four interceptions, nine pass breakups, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble.
Remember, he also got awful coaching for basically his entire career because of how BVG micro-managed every single position and played a scheme everyone hated.
BTW, Max Redfield is the kid where I truly quit on California recruiting. There is no reason he shouldn't have been an elite player. None. But he made a lot of personal mistakes here, and didn't develop for lots of reasons... some self-inflicted.
