Blah Blah Blah, If Henderson came knocking on our door right now, he'd be ushered in and all the people on the boards would be heralding his arrival. The above posts sound too much like sour grapes. Its not over until he signs his LOI. If he didn't qualify earlier and he has now, good for him for getting his act together and possibly becoming something.

Cirque de Seantrel to continue

To the relief of a great many people, it was announced earlier this week that Seantrel Henderson would -- finally -- sign his Letter of Intent with Southern Cal on Thursday, and officially put an end to a month and a half worth of wavering, rumor and innuendo.

Unfortunately, as it turns out, it was just a tease. All just one big, freaking tease. And now my writing testicles are officially aqua in color.

According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the LOI signing will not occur tomorrow as originally planned. Instead, Henderson's high school is "targeting perhaps a day next week" for the Great Faxing of the LOI because of problems with "scheduling logistics".

(As Michael Lev of the Orange County Register put it: "Do they not have Kinko's in Minnesota?")

Henderson, the No. 1 player in the country according to most major recruiting services, gave a verbal commitment to the Trojans on Feb. 3, but decided against signing as he awaited a sign as to what might happen with the NCAA and potential sanctions against the school.

Can you believe the "sour grapes" from Michael Lev of the OC Register?

I'm starting to think that henderson is a drama queen......is there anything else that is going to be announced concerning this guy other then him signing the LOI??? He is like the Brett Favre of CFB will he? or wont he? got on with it already!!! looks like the trojans and him are a perfect fit.

the expectations for this kid are approaching John Wall proportions, I hope he can respond to the hype.

I'm inclined to view Lev's attitude as desperation borne anxiety. He wants Seantrel signed NOW and on the field as a Troy Boy – for a couple of years, at least, before he is (GASP!) declared academically ineligible (as hard as that might be in USC-ville ballroom dancing land) or bails for the NFL with his daddy's "X" on the contract.

He's a "local" who attends an excellent and respected high school (Cretin-Derham Hall) that has fostered many fine athlete/students, ND's own Michael Floyd and the Twins' Joe Mauer among them. For them I will beat my chest and boast even though I didn't contribute one damn thing to their character and talent. For Chris Weinke, another Cretin grad and 28 year old Heisman Trophy winner from FSU - after six (paid) years as a minor league baseball player, I can only bend and shake my head.

If he don't get on with which school he's going to go to, he and his dad will be working at Burger King. Kid better get a clue.

Is Terrell Owens his godfather?

You would figure either Ohio State or Miami. Seantrel must love being Seantrel....

(The Polish Irishman) Rumor has it he was a no show for USC yesterday and the coaches are very worried.

I'm not really sure what his options are. Can he still go elsewhere? Help please.

From the sanctions handed down I think of he transfers he will have to sit out a year. They gave the option to transfer to juniors and seniors but being that he's going into his soph year he us still early enough in his career to have a good career for another school if he transfers. I really liked the potential o this guy but it seems his moral compass is way off.

Nnnnnnnnope. Don't want him. Making a coach wait because he's getting his hair braided? He's a drama queen that loves the attention. His dad is a joke. That kind of person is a cancer to a team.

i understand your point with this...

but in this case, TerryTate is laser accurate. everyone followed his(seantrel) recruitment and how he played it. it looks like it will backfire on him. if he xfers he has to sit out, I dont think that is in his plans. That would mean that he has to stay on campus for another year longer than he already has to. Its my personal opinion that graduating is not high on this kids list and he wants to get thru to the NFL draft as fast as possible....USC and him are a match made for each other.

Per ESPN:

Monday, Lane Kiffin and 3 assistants flew to Minnesota to make sure OT recruit Seantrel Henderson is still coming to USC. We'll see.

This is exactly why I am happy he's never coming here. He's only hurting his own team by not showing up and making the coaches leave.

I believe his test scores were too low but he's USC's problem now. Wake me if Anthony Barr tries to back out of UCLA

LOL. Now that would be nice! (least he didn't choose SC)

Petros was on the radio today and he had some great points about Hendu. He was saying that this is way too much drama for an offensive lineman. His point was that O-Linemen are supposed to be one of the guys, part of a unit in which the unit (the line) is bigger than the individual, that the individual was one of 5 fingers that needed to be joined, not splintered.

Petros went on to say that he could understand this drama for a QB or a WR or RB or safety or whatever, but not an o-lineman. They're supposed to be a different breed, and other linemen won't appreciate a prima donna, as they basically need to have one heartbeat. He talked about a 5 star lineman at SC (forget his name) that he played with who went through similar drama, and how individually the guy was great, but he could never gel with his other linemates and it never worked out, despite his prodigious talent.

Now, this is not to say that Sentrell won't be able to fit in, but I thought it was a fascinating point from a former SC Trojan. And the fact that he publicly RIPPED Sentrell for making Miami HC Randy Shannon wait for 3 hours while he got his hair done ("Offensive linemen don't get their hair done!!! And what kind of kid makes a head coach wait while getting their hair done?!?" LOL) made it all the better...
