Can Salvi play QB?

In a Blue & Gold game, why not? It's not like anybody else claimed the job. To paraphrase a bevy of posts, it's not like he's going to throw more INTs than Rees, or see less of the field than Hendrix, or read the Red Army signals worse than Golson.

cant fault the CB's there it was a Corner Blitz and Salvi didnt get over quick enough to snuff out the pass or even get in position to make a tackle :)

Well, maybe if he'd get a damned haircut, he'd have been there a tad quicker and tipped that ball away........btw, good call Ironman on the Charlie Ward comparison, I hadn't thought of him.

He WAS a walk-on Special Teamer who was rewarded with a scholarship for his Special Teams play. He is still a Special Teams player and NOT a two deep safety.

Sherm was responding to the peanut gallery critique about Salvi's Safety play in a Blue & Gold game. Kudos to Diaco and Kelly for letting the 5 and 8 deep guys get a little PT in front of the fans in a practice game.
Thank you for realizing my point sir!

I think the rails around the bottom row looked different to me.

IMO it looked like they started installing turf around the sidelines. If not, the grass was way darker and not even close to what the rest of the field is. They even had some of it in the corner of the endzone, so i'm pretty sure it was the new turf.

I promise you that it was not. It was grass, but changed out to help with the draining of the field. There is no field turf.

Outer ring of the field had been through construction. New drainage has been placed there and grass was rolled down over the area right before the game. No more cement ringing the outside of the field.

I also believe the lower bowl is in the process of being replaced with new cement. Looked like the north was finished and they are still working on the south part of the stadium and elsewhere.

Kiel will be special... and even if he turns out to be a bust, he is a ND type of guy. Definitely glad to have him on the team... btw: F%^k Les Miles

Remember when people on IE were asking, "why didn't Ishaq run after the pick"? Well, it was funny to hear the players ask the same thing.

One other thing, one of those little symbols, that I liked about the "change" in the team, was that Zach Martin has gone baldy --- a fairly common symbol in the past for O-Lines to show solidarity and a manifestation that "We are a rough road that you, the opponents, are going to have bloody he!l to deal with". Zach also was the "Man-in-the-middle" in the pre-game big man's fire-up cluster [Cierre and ?Jamoris danced in the other cluster]--- hopefully as far as the big boys are concerned he has grabbed the leadership role by the throat and it's his team now.

I think several members of the team shaved their heads in support of an ill patient or some other such cause.

St. Baldrick, my sister-in-law shaved her head this year, YIKES. Crist reallly brought attention to it a few years ago and surprised not to notice more bald heads on the team.

I think they had a pretty good turnout this year as well.

And I thought Ishaq was going to have a knee or ankle injury for sure after that pick!
