Jesuit is an elite private school in Dallas. Plays against excellent Texas 5A competition for a school that has one of the smallest enrollments in 5A. Program is solid and the school is one that would produce kids that would fit in well at ND. I don't see why you wouldn't recruit him if you felt like he could play. Schools like these are a good way to recruit Texas and get a better toehold in this talent rich state.

Nick Tausch is an alumnus there. Should really be a ND pipeline

1. He's from TX, so he can play football.
2. He has some of the best closing speed I've watched on tapes like this.
3. He's a masher. Great motor

-The two knocks I have on him is that he seems to wait for the play to come to him on a lot of them. Kinda stands in the hole and watches a little too long. Once he gets going, he's great. Also, he's a little rigid.

The only problem with this is that it's high-risk high-reward. It's usually a big play by him...if he makes the tackle...if he dodges blocks and misses then his team is down a man and you have o-lineman in the secondary blowing up your safeties and a RB taking it all the way.

Not to say I don't like the kid's film. I do. He does a good job flying to the ball, but at the same time a good job not over-pursuing.

Exactly. Your job, at times, at the LB position is to sometimes be that sacrificial lamb to a FB or guard allowing someone else to make the play so it doesn't get to that level.

yes but he technically doesnt fit the mold he is just the best player in the country

I wouldnt mind taking a risk on this kid if its a matter of 2 in technicallity, especially if he balls out like he did in this video!!

I thought it was only out OLBs BK wanted 6'4 and above. Maybe I'm wrong.

ILB recruited by this staff:

Rabasa - 6'3"
Grace - 6'4"
Moore - 6'3"
Shembo (ILB in HS) - 6'2"
Utupo - 6'2"

This guy will be fine. I would be very happy with Kimbrough and Mastrogiovanni. ILB can have less height/width than the OLBs in this defense.

I think they'll have a mix of prototypical (mold) guys and impact players

Didn't need an ILB?

according to Bolden he was told he didnt fit the profile - too short.
Maybe ND never saw him as a MLB and just an OLB prospect. Thus him being too short for the position could be considered. The guy is gonna light it up for Scum though, its Murphys Law

Has legit interest

Will be at junior day

Likes Kerry Cooks/ Talks on facebook a lot

Not sure if he will get an offer during his visit

Would prefer to make a decision soon

Waiting to hear back from LSU/Might visit A&M after his ND visit

Academics first

Sounds like ND's if they offer.

What's not to like? I never have a problem grabbing three stars from states like Texas or Florida. The talent level in the two states are enormous, and not to mention that the competition is legit. Plus this kid is just a good football player. And always good to grab kids from TX and FL for pipeline purposes.

His profile on 247 shows that LSU has offered but they are the only one.

i believe he is visiting A&M this weekend...any chance he pops?? i know GB said he was pretty high on them.

reason i'm asking is so maybe Beisel would possibly get an offer once Mastro is off the board.

Doubt he pops this weekend. If he does, LSU is still going to get a good look.
