The moment tee early enrolled Tay B became the biggest ND lock in history. There's no jinxing to be worried about here.

If you guys think Greenberry is going anywhere but ND. you mine as well stop follow recruiting. Once Tee was on campus it was over.

People please stop. This is paranoia beyond reasonableness. Deontay is not ditching Tee. Period. End of Story.

Says absolutely nothing at all. Deontay gave the standard "good" about how his Houston visit went. Just trying to get subscribers

Yeah. JSapp sounded a little worried that Deontay hasn't responded to his question about whether he was still 100% signing with ND, but he says he knows that ND has heard nothing about a possible decommitment. Hopefully Deontay just wants to raise the drama a little.

I just want to see a freaking senior highlight film....

My theory is that the film is so long it will take months to render the footage lol.

Guys please don't make us have to lock all these threads until tomorrow afternoon. No one expects Deontay to do anything but sign with the Irish tomorrow morning and join his cousin. I do not blame him in the slightest for getting annoyed at the constant badgering from reporters and fans alike on the subject. Leave him be, relax, and let's just celebrate when he faxes his LOI tomorrow.

Thanks for all the love my ND fans. Your words really made my night! Love yall, cant wait to get out there.
#jussalilbitlonger

The coaching staff obviously told him to get serious and get ready for big time ball. These posts are as recent as this week.

His moms "shock the world" comment is in relation to people prob telling him ND is too tough academically.

Pete sampson has just posted what seems like a positive tuesday update (premium) on deontay---i hope its theraputic for those of you suffering from this Hysteria contagion---its painful reading thee last couple of pages---i mean houston is leaving conference USA they have no 4 stars and only 4 recruits even rated at their position--the idea of DE flipping to them can only be described as HYSTERIA---i hope the sampson update can offer some therapy to those that need it.

Thread locked. Enough nonsense for one thread lol. If anyone has any real information to post, PM a mod. Otherwise, this thread will reopen when the LIO is received and people realize there was nothing to worry about.

Of note:

It does appear like Deontay will delete his facebook tomorrow and create a twiter account. I don't know of anyone in a position to know what believes this is a cause for any concern. 16 hours and it will no longer be an issue. Enter Bart Scott.

So Greenberry left Houston early, didn't even get a combine invite, and then went undrafted.

What a debacle the 2012 class became from a numbers standpoint. It's a good thing the staff got the rest of them right. CJ may end up being the best of the bunch. Who would have thought that on signing day?

No love for Sheldon Day or Ronnie Stanley?

Though it does seem that Coach Kelly really likes Prosise, and will make an effort to get him the ball often. That may end up pushing him ahead of Day and Stanley.

I think Stanley is pretty clearly the best of the '12 class.

I looked into it the other day, and pretty much every "miss" from '11/'12 (including your early transfers out and such) has failed to produce at anything close to an elite level. And we're mostly talking about 5:s: and high 4:s: guys. It's truly crazy, because these crown jewels that the staff poured hours upon hours into recruiting all fell somewhere in the range of "complete failure" to "they played football but haven't been particularly good at it."

Only Lynch (who was a failure in college but is showed glimpses of greatness as a rookie in the NFL) and Darby (who was pretty good in college but drafted late on account of not being 'elite') have produced for a meaningful team at either level. The jury is still out on Kiel and Tee... and I root for both of them.

Starting in '13, the staff completely changed their recruiting approach to instead of giving lip service to "RKGs" they actually started recruiting like 80% guys who were great fits for ND and only chasing about 20% of guys... and that 20% had far fewer knuckleheads, usually only like one or two small red flags about fit. IMO, the '13 and '14 classes are already proving to be far more productive. The key is to find the middle ground between recruiting like Stanford and recruiting like Ohio State/Alabama and I think they've gotten that down now.

Ah touché brother, Stanley is da beast fo sho! Russell ain't too shabby either lol. My mind today. Anyways, you are spot on though, and I didn't really mean that the staff has missed more than they are usually on point with their evaluations. The other stuff is kind of out of their hands. Again, excellent points here.
