If it's the quote about Neal saying Kiel is a big factor, it was posted yesterday. I don't think there can be much more to it than that.

It's an article off of Irish Illustrated.

I believe they pulled that Kiel/Neal quote off of twitter

If we can just close on these last 5/6 guys the world will be perfect...

Kiel adds alot of attention from other kids thinking about ND... No way around it he helps us in every way.... Neal is on my list wish we had the last visit tho..

Notre Dame absolutely needs a guy like Neal in the slot position. Neal is a play-maker with break-away speed in the open field. He could really open up the offense if he decides to go Irish.

I know it's a lot of praise to put on a kid that hasn't played a down of college football yet, but I could really see Neal as having a Golden Tate type of impact. So in case it wasn't already obvious, yes, I want him, BAD.

i'd love to see gunner get on some of these uncommitted guys we're in it with, Neal and Darby especially. the guys who have stated that gunner being irish has made an impact.

i don't think that's gunners dimeanor though, but it would help imo

Yep, to both. He looks like the sort of guy we hoped Riddick would become but didn't. His film is unbelievable. Lots of people look good on film against high school competition but he is a true something-out-of-nothing guy. My favorite is the move he makes at like the 1:15 mark. The DB looks utterly silly. There's nobody I want more in this class, besides maybe one of the elite DBs because there is such a need at that position (then again, Neal could play DB, but that seems like a waste of a true playmaker).

Or Agholor would work (half a chance there at best though). I also think Chris Brown/Mathias Farley could develop into a really good slot player but they will both need some more time.

TJ Jones needs to move to slot for the next two years IMO.

Good idea. It always seemed to me like he had potential in the slot.

Lax, thank you. I have been saying TJ was a slot guy all year. Lets hope Kelly makes the switch.

Take this for what it's worth, but a posted on 247 is claiming that he saw on ESPN that Neal wold only leave the state of AZ for OSU. JSapp responded by saying that as far as he knew, ND was still in it. Just throwing this out there. Who knows where the source came from ultimately, but I was under the impression that Davonte's dad was definitely a fan of what ND has to offer.

From ESPN....
Yeah we're still in this, in fact I think we are the favorite if ESPN says we're out of it.

Probably just ESPNs prediction misinterpreted as fact. This could very well be true but I don't think it's been said by Neal or his family. From everything I've heard ND does have a chance with Neal.

Probably just Colin Cowherd spreading rumors thru the halls of ESPN hoping to make it true.

Agreed. His and his father's comments after the latest visit would certainly suggest so anyway.

There is a quote from davonte where he said he's leaving Arizona for college and only recently started considering Arizona for an OV so in summary ESPN is a bunch of morons

Exactly what Lax said. Just a week or so ago the guy said he was for sure leaving state for football and it wasn't until recently he started to reconsider either Arizona schools.

ESPN is also reporting that U of A now has a great and very legitimate shot. Rich Rod has hired a coach who is a friend of and has a long standing relationship with Neal's father. He also recently hired Neal's high school coach as a special assistant or advisor or some sort of BS position.

I wouldn't put too much stock into what ESPN says....DickRod may have hired someone close, however, DickRod doesn't use his WR's to their utmost potential.

It was from a tweet by some buckeye recruiting guy. Ari something or other. He is from Arizona originally and supposedly knows someone "close to" the family. I brought up the mere mention of there being a program in the mix other than OSU or Arizona (ND) on an Ohio board and was basically laughed at. Would love to get Neal just to rub their noises in it. Also, having Neal in South Bend would be okay too.

They really think he's destined for Columbus. Their wayyy too confident right now but with the way UM's been recruiting it makes sense. Very annoying though.

I agree with all of this. I would just add that this family seems GENUINELY interested in what the school of their choice has to offer after football. Assuming this isn't just lip service, you have to think ND has the edge over OSU there.

Agree. Seems to be a good family with good priorities.
