I dont believe all this crap about them silently flipping. If there is anything we have learned about these two, especially Tee, is that they are pretty upfront about how they feel and what they plan to do. It's in their genetic make up. I refuse to believe that Tee would just enroll at USC without giving ample warning to Brian Kelly in the staff. I'm too young to be stressing over recruiting, therefore I wont...

24/7 has some news from practice...one thing mentioned besides how great shaq is...is that deontay has shown great hands in position drills

Greenberry told 247 they had good time at USC, but they're still going to Notre Dame. He likes that he can step in for Michael Floyd.

Still might take his last two OVs and mentioned Miami but Tee is done which means he isn't going anywhere.

By the way he will most likely end up a 5 star wide out in the final 247 rankings. Baller.

Not to sound like a jackass, but who the hell cares if Lynch and Tuitt flipped last year?

They(Tuitt and Lynch) knew they were ND guys, and from every. single. connotation. Deontay, and Tee both KNOW they are ND guys.

Nothing wrong with taking visits, they're kids, they want to check other sh!t out....

You don't sound like a jackass, but to be fair YOU were the one who brought up last year. I was merely making a connection to last year's class. At the end of the day, I believe they are/will be Irish as well. Doesn't make what happened last year any less true. Never said there was anything wrong with taking visits either- I know I would take all five of mine.

It looks like he might visit Miami.

To me he is just looking for free visits and will definitely be Irish

With the sh!t storm on Miami's horizon, I can't see DGB seriously considering them. Nothing to see here.

Understatement. Add what happened to USC and OSU multiply that by 10 and your getting warm... not saying "death penalty" but they are going to get hammered...

It sure does. Pretty fun time of the year to visit Miami. Pretty girls, etc...

Hell, me and the fiance are heading the FLA the day after Christmas for some much needed R&R. Great time of year to be in the sunshine. I hope Deontay has a great time.

I don't think that he will start by day one, but I do think that he will be a firm starter by year end and it wont take him long to get significant playing time.

Davaris Daniels hears all your predictions. And he is laughing like the god king he is.

My prediction is actually that it's Greenberry v Daniels for Floyd's spot.

I really think TJ Jones needs to step up or there is a good chance that Davaris and Deontay pass him in 2012 or 2013. I know that they play different positions but Kelly is going to want to get the best WRs on the field.

Could be... but you can't discount the actual game experience that TJ has over the two. There are few things that are as important especially in the college game (vs the NFL). True college game speed, crowd noise, pressure, and other factors are just as hard to overcome for these kids as the complex playbook. Going to be fun to watch... competition among the WRs have been lacking for awhile.

My guess... they all rotate, and the fans all benefit.

Who thinks Deontay starts from day one?

These two answers right here sum up my thoughts:

I don't think that he will start by day one, but I do think that he will be a firm starter by year end and it wont take him long to get significant playing time.

He'll definitely see the field, especially in the red zone. "Start" is such a funny word.

I see Deontay and DaVaris competing for punt returns, we need someone who isn't afraid to run.

I could see DaVaris in the discussion, but not Deontay.

If we land Davonte Neal, I'll guarantee he'd be the punt returner.

I see Collinsworth and Darby in the conversation.

I think Deontay will start the season as the next-man-in behind both Daniels and Jones, but will play a ton.

What we need is for ppl to block on punt returns. Devin Hester couldn't have been successful returning for ND this season.

*Side note, I made a couple bucks spot betting on Fair Catches during ND games this year, so thanks for that Special Teams.

Clearly you were watching games w people unfamiliar with the team prior to that day. That's generally called taking advantage, not betting but well done.

From Cal-State Game practice:
Because his state championship game was played just last weekend, Greenberry is working without pads during practice to help him rest up for the game but his ability is evident. Greenberry is an effortless pass catcher who is so explosive vertically in his routes and so physically imposing that he will become a nightmare for cornerbacks.

Greenberry just completed a record-breaking season for Washington Union and has continued to see his stock rise early this week.

aka he will be a 5 star. Book it.

I love that our staff was all over Greenberry before all of his hype. His final rankings are going to similar, if not better than Michael Floyd's.

Anybody remember what his initial rankings were?

It's called knowing the odds....shame on the guy that is betting on "unfamiliar" things.

I think most services had him in the 30-40 ranked WR range. ESPN had him as a 3 star #84 WR.

I don't remember Floyd's initial rankings, but here as his final:

Rivals: 6th WR
Scout: 5th WR
ESPN: 9th WR

Greenberry
Rivals: 10th WR
Scout: 7th WR
ESPN: 19th WR
247: 4th WR

And, it looks like 247 may bump Deontay up even higher -- they are discussing giving him a fifth star. Also, ESPN has not reranked their players in a while. Once they do, I expect they will move Deontay up.
