Apparently old Urban is up to old tricks, trying to get to Taylor thru his head coach. Also, apparently Posu fans consider Taylor to be a hot head and a thug... now that's rich,a buckeye fan calling another programs kid a thug!

Yeah, sadly don't think anyone thought Urban would play nice at his new gig. With much respect to Ed O, Urban has always been the king of do-what-it-takes to get his guys and get Ws.

Now three programs we will be competing against regularly for recruits have some of the nastiest recruiters out there: Mattison at Michigan, Kiffin/Ed O at USC, and Urban at OSU. Misinformation is officially in season.

As long as Hinton doesn't jump ship after the bowl game (which seems very unlikely at this point) I totally agree.

I understand that Hinton recruited him, but would his absence really matter given that he won't be his position coach?

Who knows. I don't have a crystal ball. Just saying I really can't envision a scenario barring coaches leaving where he would flip to OSU.

Simple call/visit from Ed W, should hinton decide to leave, should ensure Taylor stays Irish.

Where are the OSU trolls at??

This was taken straight from one of your sites:

We’re told Decker was blown away when Urban Meyer called him within 24 hours of being hired. Decker had to take a step back and evaluate things. However, in the end, Decker was just “too loyal of a kid” to turn his back on the Fighting Irish at this point. According to our source, if Meyer had been hired a few months earlier, Decker would currently be living 90 minutes or so from his future college campus.

That last part makes me quite uneasy, actually.

They have to make it sound like Urban still gets whatever he wants when he has the time. Their source was probably one of his in laws who wanted him to go to OSU. It sounds like their staff has moved on to Dodson and Diamond.

Have faith wooly.

My understanding is when Urban initially tried to reach out to Taylor he responded by avoiding his calls but he did talk to him when Meyer came to his school, stating that he just wanted to meet a coach like Meyer. In the end he is ND all the way thru....

Taylor loved everything about ND right when he visited. IMO he is probably one of the most solid commits we have.

Worried sick about Decker now. Let's hope this kid can see through Urbans BS.

In other news, Urban supposedly had a dream, that he and Hinton and Decker were playing catch, with a football.

Story coming soon...

Since he appears to be the only one that could really be affected by the departures of Hinton/Warriner, I googled Taylor Decker to check on some things:

"From a recruiting standpoint, this isn’t expected to be a huge blow for Notre Dame as Taylor Decker was the only commit that Hinton recruited, according to IrishIllustrated.com." (Notre Dame Football: Tim Hinton Appears Headed to Join Urban Meyer’s Staff at Ohio State | Notre Dame Football)

"“As a man of integrity, he would follow through on that commitment. In the big picture, most people would respect that.”"

(Butler lineman Decker likely not playing for OSU's Meyer)

Scout.com: Decker Reaffirms Pledge to Irish (Premium)

All of these were written within the past 2-3 weeks.

Decker replied he was shocked and wanted to know where Warriner was going!!!!?

Decker just followed up stating Warriner was the reason he was going to Notre Dame.

It gets worse guys...

Both Warriner and Hinton are headed to pOSU...

Decker also said Warriner is a reason he chose ND, and that he didn't know there was any chance of him leaving.

BK needs to personally re-recruit Decker, and make it a priority.

We got to hope guys.

He's the most likely flip onboard now.

Stanley seemed upset also from his reply.

Mahone is my next greatest concern.
