In-N-Out Burgers

In New mexico there is a joint Called Lota Burger....damn good Green Chili Burger and Seasoned fries.

Five Guys wins hands down because there is a five guys in South Bend. It's like Camel Kabobs in Mecca versus Isfahan. Sure, they're good in Isfahan... but Mecca is Mecca.

McDonalds started out with a simple menu, just like In-N-Out is doing. 5 Guys seems to be a progression of In-N-Out. I actually avoid In-N-Out because of the horrible fries. Haven't tried 5 Guys yet.

Whataburger is a joint started in Corpus Christi Texas. A straight up, no bull****, no gimmick freshly cooked burger and fries or onion rings. Good stuff. Last time I was in Texas, my father drove me straight to WhataBurger for dinner. I hadn't even taken a leak after a long drive. But their bathroom was spotless before I got there.

I still prefer Wendy's fries and Sonic Onion rings, as far as fast food goes.

Otherwise, if you haven't figured out how to cook your own favorite burger by now... My favorite invention is white bread, lightly toasted, 80% hamburger meat, flipped ONLY ONCE AND NOT SQUEEZED, and depending on mood, onion, ketchup, and either mayo or mustard. Side of pickle. Gotta love the pickle. Raw Jalapeno.

5 Guys is the best in the Boston area. I can't compare to In-and Out because there are none in the whole Northeast. Next time I go to San Diego I will hve to check them out.

Don't get the fries. Order the burger, then go ANYWHERE ELSE for the fries.

Yeah. The fries are so bad they bombed me out. So I skipped In-N-Out last night after I got so pissed at the game that I ate me a 39 cent taco from Del Taco.

Original Tommy's! Hands down. My wife is all about the In & Out. I'm a Tommy's guy. Chili burger - hands down the best around. If I am ever on death row, Tommy's is my last meal!

No lie, because of this thread, today I went out to the store and bought me some 81/19 burger meat on special and a red onion. Lightly toasted me up some white bread. Cooked burger to medium well. Never rare or medium rare for burgers. They need to be well cooked. Fiipped only once. Damn juicy. Ketchup, onion, and some mustard today. Side of Fritos with Tabasco. Just finished it a few minutes ago. Deeeeellisssshhhhhhh.

Ooh yeah. You got that right. I have cases of Tabasco and Lawry salt. In fact, you just described my cupboard. Got me some spicy brown mustard instead of the horseradish last time. But dang, I just might have me another burger tonight.

Horseradish sauce is bomb. On a side note - best steak marinade - Brown grainy mustard, horseradish sauce, and worcestershire sauce

K so I had Five Guys while in El Paso... and it was five guys, my bro in law from Maryland had it with me and said it was regular ole Five guys...

so... really good burgers... unlike whataburger it is actually on par with In N Out but neither is cleary better... i may give the nod to five guys solely for the unlimited toppings thing... but the quality is the same...

fries... this was all I heard from Five guys thumpers... how incredible the fries were... and most of those same people bashed In N Outs fries in the same breath...

other than being thicker cuts there is no difference between the two as well... In N Out cuts their fries fresh and so does Five guys... but the cuts are much larger at FG... I saw no real difference aside from the texture the cut gave them... I'll take the slim cut fries of In N Out honestly...

but the burgers were flat excellent.

Good Stuff... Five Guys vs. In N Out is a much closer debate than whataburger vs. In N Out for sure.
