Maybe it's because I lived in Atlanta, but Petrino seems to be eely to me. I find it hard to believe a coach from a Catholic school would push his players to that snake oil salesman.

I forget what the specific connection is to Arky, but there was one with an assistant or something like that. Either way, I remember hearing it and thinking that it was strange.

Perhaps, but not all kids are the same. Even though it doesn't affect most, some might take notice and end up at ND because of it. Just a thought.

Stanley has parents, no?

Recruits would care if they understood. I expect them not to understand; but to not care once you understand is simply indefensible. That's part of the reason I post this stuff.

I commented on this specifically because a recruit's adult mentors are expected to understand and appreciate things like degree value and graduation rates. Thus, when I see a parent or a high school coach actively steering a recruit away from ND and toward a vastly inferior academic institution, it upsets me.

It's certainly plausible if BK says "Listen, we've got 1 OL spot left and if you want it, it's yours." If I was enjoying my visit I would jump on it rather than risk missing out.

IMO, I think has led for him the entire time and he has already been to NU and Arky. So, if he knew it was the place and spots are thin, I could see this as plausible.

It would be a great OL coup for the program and could hopefully get the verbal ball rolling.
