I said this a while ago (at least I think I posted it): Wake concerns me and plays very similar to USF. Their exact game play isn't the same, but the general philosophy is. They'll try to hit you hard early, capitalize on your mistakes, and eek out a win with bend don't break defense.

Their defense is probably worse than USF's D. But their offense, especially their passing, is better. They'll need to play mistake free to beat ND, which means their QB can't force the ball like he did last week. Granted, UNC has a better secondary than us, so don't expect as many mistakes next week.

Game Plan: Run the ball early and often. Wake's run defense is weak. Once teams establish the run (and seemingly all teams with a good ground game have), their secondary opens up a lot, even more than its generally porous nature.

54-34 ND.

Tickets for this game seem to be pretty pricey. I figured they wouldn't be too bad.

My thoughts exactly! I thought about attending this game, but I don't know if I wanna dish out the $$$ for the seats they are offering. Looks like another TV night for me!

since pre-season this has been one of the more expensive seats this season. with wake actually putting together a little bit of a decent season, its only sent the prices higher.

at the beginning of the year, every ticket for wake was just above face value (on stub hub), the only other ticket worth anything was the unc game. all nd tix were almost double what they were for that game.

the draw of the irish.

Welcome back broski

If we dont turn the ball over then we should play well. I think we will have no problem running the ball and that will open up the passing game

I know this is the key to beating a lot of teams but stopping the run and running the ball will be the determining factors. Here is the chart below of their previous opponents and ND with their Total O/D, Rushing O/D, and Passing O/D, along with the results vs that opponent.

<a href="http://s1091.photobucket.com/albums/i394/amkurtz2/?action=view&current=tABLE.png" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1091.photobucket.com/albums/i394/amkurtz2/tABLE.png" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The only team with a rushing D above 25th they beat was FSU and the final score of that game was 35-30. They have not beat a team that is higher than 50th in the nation in rushing. Although we are 62nd in the nation in rushing D we have also faced the no. 3, 5, 8, 27, and 42 rushing attacks and have held all but Air Force (3) below their averages.

P.S. If someone knows how to put a table in that would be awesome. I played around with the formatting and nothing looked acceptable.

Wake's QB is pretty good, but I have a hard time seeing their O-line handling Tuitt and Lynch. Looking forward to another blowout.

If we lose a game other than Stanford this year we should go to Big East . Notre Dame should never lose to Wake Forest unless its basketball.

Just read a what the Wake Forest fans thought about this game and a lot of them think it could be an Irish blowout. Its sad to see fans not have confidence in their team. They think their defense will die out and they dont think they have an answer for Floyd.

Here is the thread.
