I go to the same school as David, he is a cool kid and I think he is Irish all the way. I will be going to almost all of the games this year so I can inform you guys how good he is doing throughout the year. I think the season starts late August

Why freak out? He said he was going to take officials, coach said he wouldn't (which I didn't like), and now he is going to take them. Greenberry, Shephard, etc. are all taking officials also.

I start freaking out when someone who says they AREN'T taking visits then decides to start taking some... but not the other way around.

yeah on fb he said something to the fact about the pampering because they are ov...so yeah i think he just wants to get treated like a king and see a great game...wouldn't pass the opportunity up either

I always said if I was a big time recruit I would drag Michigan and USC along the whole process. Taking OV and having them pamper me. I would most likely attend an Oregon OV and some other school loaded with babes. All to end with a commit to ND.

His coach wants to keep a rapport with the Notre Dame coaching staff. He's the HC of Washington HS in South Bend, so obviously Notre Dame has some influence. You really think Antwon Jones, a former ND football player, is going to let Perkins decommit?

I really hate when people say stuff like this. Coaches DO NOT control players and should be nothing more than a guiding influence in the process. Aaron Lynch's coach tried to "not let" him go anywhere but FSU... Stephon Tuitt's coach pulled similar BS pushing Stephon to GT and telling ND coaches they weren't allowed to talk to him. And we all cried foul in those situations.

Of course we cry foul. It really shouldn't happen, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen even (no, wait) ESPECIALLY with our connected coaches.

Perkins has something about him.... just uber-talent waiting to be refined and an uber-attitude waiting to explode every play. My early "clairvoyance" on this class is that he may be the best we get this year, despite getting some extremely good players. And the explosion is on defense ... in that he is joining an incredible group of studs on our team. This whole defensive thing that is happening has a "can't believe it" sense about it.

If I were Diaco, I'd stick around a good long time to watch this beast defense break teams up.
