Dion’s Green Chile ranch is THE best.

But Hacienda ranch is nostalgic.
The Hacienda on Portage Rd, is that one of them? I’ve heard it mentioned too many times - if it is I’ll be going before or after the Rice game this year.

Don’t have high expectations. It’s just an upscale Taco Bell with great ranch you get for a fee with your free chips and ā€œsalsaā€. It’s nostalgic for the locals because it’s we probably all got plastered on the margaritas and over consumed whatever food we ordered.

We have a small chain called ā€œPeppersā€ near us, they do the free-ranch-dip thing too. It’s a jalepeno ranch with a little kick. Good shit.

Jets does have great ranch although its just Hidden Valley packets mixed with Buttermilk it still hits though. Some folks might find it too thin for their tastes.

I was curious so I looked up Jets ranch to see what made it special and found a reddit thread by an employee on how they make it. Below is the secret recipe:

1 part buttermilk
1 part mayo
a packet of hidden valley seasoning.
Blend

You guys are culinary masters lol

The secret is obviously in the blending.

My theory is that it’s about the temperature of the ingredients at the time they’re mixed.
Proper chilling is key to make a great ranch.

I wonder if that's similar to what Chuy's the Tex Mex chain has. Ranch isn't really my thing but people go crazy for their sauce

They have to take a rest day to count all the money they made slinging za’s over the weekend…

My lady was up in Ft Wayne today and tried to hit it up before heading back down to Indy. Nope. Shut down on Mondays. She thought the power was just out before checking the schedule.

So, now we’re settling for Olive Garden tonight…

Wait till I tell you about the lady at my parents church that used to make Hidden Valley jello squares to pair with chili…..
I love sour cream in my chili but where in the heck does Ranch come into the equation?

I am born and raised in the Midwest but I really don't get the region's infatuation with ranch. To me, it's nothing more than a salad dressing or a veggie dip.

I've never understood the people dipping pizza or wings in it. The food is already sauced....To each their own. I'm just not a ranch guy, and I'm definitely in the minority in this neck of the woods....
