I haven’t read this thread recently, but wasn’t Teddy struggling? He might need another year of high school.
He wasn’t necessarily struggling, 18 TDS and only 5 picks for a kid who had never played that high of a level and was getting adjusted to a higher level through the year, and almost upset one of the better teams in the state to end the year, I feel like if we give him a year of sitting behind Carr who would likely be a good mentor at that point his development would progress significantly

Wow - feel bad for Grubbs but Teddy is probably the favorite for 2027 now.

What an insanely complete class 2026 is.
Hopefully Grubbs sticks with his commitment and gives it a shot.

Excellent class it seems.

I doubt Grubbs is worried he can’t beat Teddy. Teddy is a consensus 3 star and while Grubbs is a 3 star on 24/7, his composite just gets him to 4 star (89.7).

The natural self belief someone has plus seeing Teddy as a 3 star probably doesn’t intimidate him.

Grubbs also will have the spring on Jarrard. I don’t think anyone is going to be crying foul. Win on the field, if you can’t, probably we’re gonna get competition via portal or Jarrard coming one semester later anyways.

Grubbs ranking is crazy. The way he played in the state playoffs makes him a much higher rated QB.

Terrible idea for letting Jarrard reclassify. Overall I would rather have Grubbs. Not a great fan of Jarrard. I think we jumped the gun on offering him.

Grubbs has to be Po’d. Will we lose hm?

Overall bad idea.

But now you get evals on both while still having Carr and you know if one can be the heir or if you need to go to the portal in 2027.

How is it a bad idea? You want guys battling it out just like Minchey and Carr did, you don't want someone coming in thinking they don't have to do anything and get handed the job. You want competition.

This lets you essentially process whichever one looks worse and allows you to go big game hunting for 2027 without having to worry about losing the QB you already have in the class.

2025 Highlights here

Its very easy to see why Denbrock / Gino like him so much, great touch and can step right into Carr's playbook seamlessly.

Biggest ? is probably his arm strength. He seems to have a B arm, but obviously he's young and skinny and will continue to grow.

I'm not really sure why he fell so much on 247 - he has offers from truly everyone and was handpicked by the ND staff over many other higher rated players.

Anytime you can get the kid in the system and learn the playbook it’s never a bad idea. Good on the kid, does this give the 26 class much of a ratings boost?

Must have been that rain soaked throw that came up short of the end zone…
