What amazes me the things Penn State fans have said on twitter.
1. Penn State will have the best OL next year
2. They have the best coaching staff
3. Their running back room is the best
well they may have the best duo or one of the top duos in the nation but our irish talent wise probably have the best RB room in the nation as our 4th string player Young was a top 10 rated RB by some recruiting services coming out of high school

James Franklin and Co who make their bones beating up on Rutgers, Maryland, Memphis, Indiana and Illinois (although not always lol) think they have the best team in the country lmao
I think they miss the playoffs next year

Looking at their schedule next year, if they don't go 10-2 Franklin should be fired for malpractice.
Nonconference they play Nevada, FIU and Villanova. Then they get Oregon, Indiana and Nebraska at home. Go to Ohio State but otherwise their toughest road trip is... Iowa? Sparty?
It's an embarrassingly easy schedule. They should be embarrassed.

No chance. They are a lock to go 10 - 2 and lose in the second or third round
I don't know. The odds of them getting as fortunate of a draw as they did this year (SMU AND Boise St) seems unlikely. And as far as I'm concerned Drew Allar is still a JAG. Put any team with a pulse in front of him and Franklin and I think we already know what happens.

We may get a quicker than usual definitive answer on this because James Franklin has a scheduled press conference tomorrow

With the amount of hand wringing that goes on around here when assistant coaches leave the program, if a relationship with PARKER of all people delivers this RB Coach hire to replace DMc, that's absolutely hilarious. What a start to the calendar year.

Just brilliant on all levels.

Some rumblings on PSU twitter that Seider's wife was tired of living in State College lol
The same was said about Franklin's wife a couple years back. It's a pretty common theme among the wives of coaches at PSU. Being 25 mins away, I don't understand that sentiment in some cases. It's a really safe area, good schools and affordable. It's a pretty good area for coaches with families, not sure why they aren't happy in "Happy Valley".

Penn State fans online are generally in disbelief. They think the move makes zero sense. Probably the same fans that thought they were the better team in the Orange Bowl.
It’s a purely lateral move after they just stole Ohio State’s DC with $3M and got both of their NFL caliber backs to return. I would be in disbelief too.

Seider is from the Muck. Glades Central HS is no joke. He's a presence in Florida recruiting.

It's a pretty awesome hire on multiple levels, but I think this guy is going to be able to connect on the recruiting trail in places where maybe the door hasn't been as open in previous cycles.

TBF, the were only able to steal Knowles because their own DC got poached, in a similar lateral move. That is now two coaches willing to leave on a lateral basis.

PSU is a huge school in a tiny, rural town where the closest city is 2.5 hours away. You can't go to the grocery store or a restaurant without random people coming up and talking to you. If it's a down year, your kids hear it at school. Your wife probably feels isolated with no family or friends around.

Coaches and their families who are in LA, Seattle, Dallas, Miami, etc. don't have to deal with that stuff for the most part.

Florida and Virgina is two places we haven’t been great in lately
