Honestly I'm more worried about OL next year, if Jagusah isn't ready to go we could be in a world of hurt.
Knapp, Lambert, Craig are locks. Otting and Absher could start. Black and Augustine have loads of potential. Can’t rule out one freshman being ready. Jags certainly raises the ceiling

Yep. We've got three returning starters, and like 15 other guys. The odds are good that two of those 15 will be solid.

My thoughts exactly. Lots of chances to hit. And the last 3 national title teams haven’t had high end draft picks

Agreed but it’s a long season chances of the entire OL being injury free all year is slim. If I had to guess on over or under 1.5 guys missing time being banged up I’d go over. Jagusah coulda been the different against Miami or A&M this year.

I don’t disagree but if it is the weakest part we will be in excellent, excellent shape.
That's the funny thing.
I agree OL is the biggest question mark of any unit, followed by TE. It'd be cooler if Schrauth had come back, and Jags was healthy. But OL and TE are historically the strongest units on the team and places we recruit and develop very well. I'm fairly confident it will work out, because it pretty much always has. I was alot more worried about DL, for instance, before we reloaded in the portal.

And if we look at the last 3 national champs, they really did not have great OLs. Good college players but few elite talents

Any kind of G5 head coaching move is a pay cut for him at this point. If he still has head coaching ambition, what other way is he able to get there?

Use Hammock as an example. He was making about $700k at NIU. That ranked 109 out of 119 Division I-A head coaches. Money wise, McCullough takes a step back as head coach of NIU vs being RB coach at Oklahoma.

If anyone here has not read the book about Deland McCullough "Runs in the Family", please do so. It is fabulous and one of the few books I've read that got me a bit emotional. Incredible family read. Hope he does well at OU except for ND recruits and if we play them on the field.

Agree

The movie SHOW ME THE FATHER has the same story too.

The E60 was the first time I'd ever seen anything about him. It's a remarkable story. The odds of it all are incredible.
