Coogan and Rocco is concerning. I don't care what kind of projections people are making. They are experienced starting offensive lineman

Will Black is good enough to start right away at tackle and there's some pretty talented bench guys

Just feels bad to see someone who appears to bleed bike and fold leave. What kind of money (if any) do we think they might get? Was always hoping that Rocco would become one of the best as his name is the best but he never lived up to the hype. Watched get so rag dolled on some pass rushes against Penn State I felt embarrassed for him. Coogan being the diehard ND man giving his speeches decides to take off. If both these guys thought they might be second or third string next year then so be it. We need a healthier team next year. What our coaches did getting the next man ready was remarkable. Sadly with Mills and Onye gone and Cross gimpy we just ran out of gas. D line will be the make or break piece of this team next year.

Seemed like Tim O'Malley saw this one coming for a few weeks. He had mentioned a while back how Coogan loves ND and that love was making his decision way more difficult. Tim hinted to the fact that he thought the decision had been made and that he was leaving.

Love that the ND culture is such that these guys continued to plat at their highest level and through pain throughout the playoffs knowing what their future was. Good for them. I hope they do well wherever they land - unless it's Michigan.

he probably knew he would go back to bench once Craig gets healthy and takes back center job so i'm not shocked

Got the same vibe. It seems like he achieved his dream of playing for ND and can rest his head on his pillow as a result. Good for him

Yeah. These guys want to play and probably see the writing on the wall that they are more likely to play next year somewhere else. It’s too bad but they’re making the right move here.

I’m sure ND offered money that is worthy but the price for a ND OL transfer has to be extremely high on the market

Basically everyone not in the Top 15ish + even some of those teams could use Coogan or Spindler

His statement makes it sound like it wasn’t his decision to leave does it not ?

That would be some dire shit if true, and I don't think the tweet is sufficient to even speculate as such.
