I’d like him to be back next year. But I see him hitting the transfer portal and going some place where he is guaranteed to start. It will be hard for him to beat out Craig, Schrauth and Knapp or Pendleton or one of the other young studs at guard.

Since we have the equivalent of three full OLines with potential to start at most universities (Maybe even be their captains), we have to expect some of our bigguns to want to play full time (and show for the NFL.) When that sadly happens, let's wish them all the best. Coogan's valuable and probably a sub. We're better if he stays, but ....?

If this unit wins the best OL how do you change up the rotation?

Our OLine coach will do what all really good coaches do --- make it obviously an open competition, and see who rises to the top. I can't imagine that Rudolph will think that anyone's "entitled." This coach recognizes not only individual talent but how to gel that talent. He's going to put a good Five out there whoever they are. I'm going to guess that he begins with Schrauth and maybe Wagner and builds the thing from there.

Forget this Obvious Shirts company. SportsCrack.com has a better version, and I've talked with the owner in the past. He's an ND fan that regularly goes to games, hence why most of their merch is ND related. Their gear is always top notch:

Easy. Craig won the job in summer when they were both healthy so if he’s fully recovered he’s the center next year. Spindler and Scrauth are the guards so Coogan is the back up at all three IOL positions unless someone leaves.
