God I’m glad we got Leonard. Both Jennings and Allar suck I’d take Leonard over ever QB left in the playoffs minus Oregons and Texas

I would possibly take him over Ewers at this point

Milroe had this same game against Oklahoma. Not sure if there's any reason to think he would do it again against a real team.

Why? ND got blown out in CFPs and still made it after. People used to say the same thing about us. Blowouts happen annually in the CFP regardless of team or conference. Have for a decade.

Because the SEC/ESPN want it to be as many SEC teams as possible.

Look at how they were talking after the game last night, and even in the second half of the game to am extent. The focus wasn't on ND kicked their ass. Instead it was discussing how maybe Indiana was never that good.

The tears on social media from SEC land makes me wonder why they don't just have their own conference tourney at the end of the year.

They aren’t gonna punish the Big Ten for Indiana. They might punish INDIANA for Indiana but if PSU, Oregon, OSU and say Michigan, Washington etc are in that fourth spot next year, the Big Ten gets it. 100%

I like how it’s surprising the early round is seeing blowouts,… idc who gets in this will be a very normal thing with an expanded playoff

I’m hoping Clemson beats Texas to give the first round a little flavor and something to watch along with the NFL game.

Some year there will be blowouts. You opt for that because some years a Cinderella will emerge. Every playoff, especially in a sport with uneven scheduling, is better having a few extra spots than too few to allow the Cinderellas and other overlooked teams.

After next season I think it’s a real possibility that the SEC and B1G break away and will have their own championship.

Why would you want to allow a Cinderella? If your goal is to crown the best team as the national champion, then the emergence of a Cinderella is an even bigger problem than blowouts are.

Football is flukey. NIU beat Notre Dame but nobody thinks they're the better team because the weight of the evidence over the course of the season provided additional data points. A single elimination tournament magnifies the problem of flukes.

Cinderella teams are good for sports, gives the fans a team to cheer for when their team is out.
