I live in the south, and not even the Deep South - NC, they bitch, moan, and freak out when the temp drops below 55. I freeking laugh my ass off at them. I cant even say how funny it is when 2 inches of snow falls. I dont dare drive any more in it not because I cant handle it but because how bad they are all at it. I have been down here for 20 years now.
Try driving in L.A. when it’s raining. It’s as if everyone thinks they’re driving in an ice rink.

I am calling bullshit on the whole Alabama is cold crap. I’ve lived all over this country and I can tell you, from the mid rims of Kentucky/Tennessee/Virginia they have no clue what happens to a typical weather north of central Indiana/Illinois/Missouri. It’s a whole different cold north of that zone. The windchill isn’t tropical, it’s Arctic.

I’ve ’hunted’ in southern states up to Wisconsin. You don’t worry about freezing to death in Tennessee.
Easy, Johnny Cash.

Dude hahaha, I went out there for a Rose Bowl and it rained or should I say it drizzled and they acted like a blizzard broke out.🤣

Yeah, it literally rains only around 10 days a year there. I still don’t get the perceived difficulty though. Modern tires can handle all kinds of road conditions. 🤷‍♂️

Just throwing it out there with ticket applications opening up today for a possible host game, if you are eligible and can put in for an extra two, I would 10000% buy them from you

Season ticket holder. Got email from ticket office today....there will be lottery for 1st round home game, and "not many tickets will be available" due to visiting team allotment. Interested to see how this plays out.

Hey Tex, I read the opposite—the opposing school only gets a 5k allocation

Also read that if you’re a season ticket holder you will get first crack at buying your season tickets for the game as well

I’m already out. Atlanta traffic is bad, Cali driving is an instant headache

Edit: But Illinois drivers are the worst, I have to let the FIBbers know

You haven’t experienced true terror until you’ve driven in Atlanta in the snow
After living in ATL for 10 years, I can tell you it’s probably worse here in Alabama where some of the worst drivers I have ever seen try to navigate any type of frozen precipitation 🤣

This is so accurate. My dad, who is from Detroit, got a job building a restaurant down in GA near Atlanta. He said even the mere sight of snowfakes (regardless of if it sticks) will cause panic. He said less than an inch caused stop and go traffic on the main highways. In Michigan, several inches of snow means speed limit is okay haha

Back around '91 we were coming back from Albany, GA. driving on HW29(?). It snowed the night before. People were driving 5mph. They probably thought we were crazy when we passed them going the speed limit.

They made a point during the broadcast of Georgia v Tennesse about Tennesse's bench warmers not working.... while playing in 55-degree weather.

My 7 year olds peewee team played in 45 degree rain a couple weekends ago. I didn't hear any complaining.

I've driven in LA dozens of times. I don't think it's that bad. Too many cars of course, but I find LA divers to be above average helpful and polite. Atlanta drivers aren't too bad, but the traffic is the worst I've seen. Chicago is the place that makes me want to buy a gun and just accept spending the rest of my life on cellblock 4. The absolute worst drivers in the country. I leave there every time wishing every Chicago driver would suffer from a painful disfiguring disease.

Cold and snow on the ground in South Bend this morning. Hosting a playoff game in this would be beautiful.
I showed the pic Sampson posted to my Bama fan co-worker with the context of a potential playoff match up in SB. He's from lower Alabama. Shook his head and looked disgusted.

Everyone always likes to claim that wherever they live, the drivers are the absolute worst. Having moved 4 times in the past 5 years, every local I talk to about it will always say it. There's different levels to it though. I think the South Carolina Drivers in the Charleston area are the worst because they just have no idea what the fuck they're doing, and it also changed my opinion on annual state inspections of vehicles. Every week I would notice a different car broken down and abandoned on the side of the road. Drivers in the Hampton Roads VA area were pretty aggressive. And while everyone complains about the drivers here in Tampa Bay, I don't think they're that bad

Atlanta drivers are in their own world imo. The rules of the road don’t apply. Need to cut across 4 lanes at once? Go for it. There won’t be any troopers or cops on 400, 75, 85 or 20 to pull you over anyways.

Illinois drivers are aware there are people in the cars around them, they just want to make their lives as difficult as possible.
