You listed 4 programs from recruiting hot beds that otherwise don’t have any self imposed or many recruiting obstacles.

ND doesn’t need to make it harder on itself than it already does to appeal to 16-22 year olds.
Those programs are able to have "don't need to go to class this week" before a few games each year... :)

I somewhat kid.

Texas/oklahoma a lot of times modify their jersey for the red river rivalry game. LSU does purple jerseys occasionally. It happens a lot

Fine. Michigan, Penn State, and Ohio State (to a lesser degree).

Don’t get me wrong, I like the green jerseys, but I like them to be used sporadically. I loved them being used for last year’s Ohio State game (wasn’t a fan of the green pants, however). The utilization of the green jersey was absolutely warranted, although I never want to see that combo again (for obvious reasons).

I don’t like that the tradition is being watered down. And, I know this sounds sanctimonious, but I really don’t like them used for inferior opponents (Louisville, Cal, Maryland - excluding the Service Academies due to our tradition and relationship with them).

I have a feeling we’ll be wearing this combo against Louisville as well. Last year’s white pants (Clemson) didn’t have the gold interlocking ND. These are new pants.

The new white pants are the new away pants. They’ll be in all white on the road this year

I understand your point. I'm not sure having two jersey combos really falls into tradition though. It's more just, that's how it was for 100 years.

My point is if ND can find even small ways to appeal to kids and get them excited in recruiting and on gameday, and that leads to better players and better play, I'm all for it.

Similar to single digit numbers. It's what kids want these days. Call it childish or petty or whatever, but it matters.

Wait, for all away games we'll be wearing white pants? Or just a one time thing?

They were the better team that night. Fair and square. But it was mostly because our tank was completely empty after Ohio State and Duke. They're fine but that's the extent of it.

Not to mention, Louisville had Sam Hartman’s number, specifically, for three straight seasons I think.

Dude just could not figure out the Louisville secondary and pressure packages

Not one of my proudest moments but the last time I was at an ND/UL game, Louisville’s finest not so kindly escorted me out of the stadium. 🤷‍♂️

All I was doing was following the football up and down the field as they moved.

My old man and our friend/designated driver was like where the fuck did he go…? Worked out ok though as the bartender across the street was superb. Awesome rack.

Lol. Shit happens. We won. 😆

Anyone got a spare parking pass for the Louisville game in either the Stadium lots or Bookstore lot?

Ahem just letting y'all know, you can get a free Instacart 2 week trial that comes with free Peacock. You know, in case you need any grocery deliveries before the Lousville game

If I'm ND, I better be pissed off to be this disrespected.

They 100% deserve it and they 100% should be angry about it.

I get everyone’s pessimism because I’m right there with ya, but the mighty Louisville offense only managed 17 points against GT and was out gained. For whatever reason these are also the types of games Freeman seems to be able to get the team amped up for.
