Next Saturday is clearly a Brohm vs. Golden matchup. And redemption for Golden. If the defense can hold Louisville to under 21 points, ND will win.
How many TD's are you planning for from the ND Defense ... it has to be a minimum of 2 in order for us to get beyond 21 pts. against Louisville!

It’s sad to see how smart men can stay committed to something clear to the majority. The idea this QB is unable to perform at game time is not a belief at this point, it’s a fact. Their inability to accept this fact will cost us early as we fall behind by halftime. Sometime in the second half another QB will see the field. The only question will be if it’s too late.

Anyone know what color pants we’re wearing? Hopefully gold, but I imagine Marcus would rather us wear white, green, or even black. He’s more concerned about appearances anyways.

I’ll be in town for this game. Has anyone done or doing the Friday night bash? Getting into Rocco’s is unlikely.

Why are we all so afraid of Louisville?

I don’t love Leonard either but Louisville is nothing special, just another mid ACC team. Yeah, they beat us last year but we played like dogshit that night while they were jacked up to the moon. And we are better this year than we were last year in most aspects of the game.

Grow a pair, friends. This is a game we should win.

They kinda kicked ND’s ass last year and then the NIU game happened?

I don't think anyone's afraid of Louisville but none of us should be that confident about winning this game. It's pretty much a toss-up according to the odds. I have no idea what their roster is like other than they brought in like 30 transfers

I'm going to save myself the pre-game disappointment and believe that ND is going to lose this game. I don't think it'll be an embarrassment of a performance, maybe even a tight game, but I just don't see this one as a victory.

I don’t agree with the premise that you can’t:

a) Think ND is going to win the game
b) Root for ND to win the game
c) Express frustration with the state of the coaching, qb play, and offensive execution.

I think we’re all (maybe except @Hautian Domer) hopeful for ND to win. But I think the expectation for us to win is in doubt based on how they prepare, how they come out, and how well the offense can move the football.

We’re all fan(atics). I know a lot of ND fans who don’t even know message boards exist. But being a fan and being critical of your team aren’t mutually exclusive.

Don’t be so dramatic. I’m not poking fun of the SAT / ACT score or anything to that regard. I am very displeased with where we’re at, however. At year 3, it’s simply unacceptable. Freeman, shockingly, made public comment that they did not prepare for NIU and they didn’t take them seriously. That’s inexcusable. Fuck, that’s grounds “for cause” termination. I truthfully don’t know where he’s leading this program and I’m not just going to blindly praise him because he’s likable or seems like a swell guy. As an alum and someone who has poured time and money into it, like you all, I can vent.

Freeman has shown 2 things to me consistently in his stint as a coach:

1. He’ll lose bone-headed games (Marshall, Stanford, Clemson, NIU)
2. He beats teams that he lost to previously (USC, Stanford, Navy—he almost lost season 1)

I think he’ll come out and have the boys ready and we win. For all the cries of getting our asses beat by these guys, and how bad we played, how hyped they were, etc. they only beat us by 13. They should have beat us by 30.

It depends on which team shows up. This team is Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. If the A&M and Purdue team shows up, we win. If the N Illinois or Miami team shows up, I don’t like it. We can’t be too one dimensional. We have To be able to throw the ball. We can’t Louisville stack the box.

Im not poking fun at his ACT score. I am clearly stating my opinion that if it is 18 that is too stupid to be a championship level head coach. I mean ffs at this point we acknowledge his Xs and Os aren’t up to par. We are hoping for great CEO. Who would hire a CEO who is a 950 SAT. I got a high school sophomore farting around with psat just the test no prep no focus getting mid 1200’s as a laugher. Don’t want her leading a billion dollar football operation. I literally do not trust someone, again if it’s true, that objectively dumb to make fast accurate decisions or learn from mistakes.

Whatever you think of Freeman's ACT score he's 38 years old, and took that test 20 years ago. One might think he's learned a thing or two.

Maybe you should research ACT or SAT scores for former and current college head coaches to see if it is relevant to their success. I’m going to guess there will be quite a few surprises. I wonder what Nick Saban scored growing up in West Virginia? I’d also bet Dabo‘s and Kirby‘s scores were not outstanding. Jimbo? Les Miles? Ed Orgeron?

My dad had an F in French class in high school. Had an extremely low ACT/SAT score out of school because he didnt try very hard. Went to college. Excelled. Got his MBA from ND. He's now ran multiple billion dollar companies to achieve heights they hadnt prior to him joining.

The ACT argument is dumb. End of discussion.
