This is a really tough, graphic read so be warned, but this looks terrible for DeBoer
DeBoer and Washington might be in some shit. The new coach looks to have been left in the dark. The accusations seem pretty damning. The first victim at least went to the hospital and had a rape kit done, and both stories show similar patterns in Rogers' actions with the victims.

Suspended for the CCG, yet allowed to play in the NC? How does DeBoer justify that?

I want to get all the facts first, of course, but if DeBoer knew about the allegations, had reason to believe they were true, and still let the kid play, I would hope Bama sends him packing. I think we got the right coach as far as football goes, but something like this, if true, can't be tolerated.

He had to know given the suspension for the CCG unless Rogers did something else during that time, but there was no mention of this.

Everybody hates Auburn. Georgia just SERIOUSLY dissed them by announcing that their game against Auburn this fall would be homecoming. Auburn's players and fans are pissed! 🤣🤣🤣

Auburn will probably beat them. That’ll be the most Auburn thing.

You traditionally schedule a cupcake - a virtually guaranteed win - for homecoming. Being scheduled for someone's homecoming game is thus viewed as a lack of fear or respect for your team.

I thought that was just a high school thing. I didn't know colleges were dorks too
Homecoming is a big deal at most universities. You have alumni and their families coming into town for the game, to see old friends, see their old stomping grounds, and etc. The weekend's a lot more fun if it includes a win. Almost every program tries to schedule one. Georgia scheduling Auburn for homecoming is definitely a thumb in the eye. You typically schedule North Western Nowhere State Barber College. The Dawgs just told Auburn that's how they now view them. LOL

NWN St Barber College isn’t a guaranteed win. They have this running back named Todd who’s known for his sharp cuts. Apparently instead of breaking guys ankles, he slits their throats. Most schools are afraid to play them.

Is it though? I’m not sure who we have this year, but last year, LSU had scheduled Army as the HC game. Those “cupcake” games are what we call “secretary” games — no one wants to go, so we just give the tickets to the secretary’s and admin staff. People come in for the big games or big rivalries (Alabama, Ole Miss, Florida, Auburn), not The Citadel, Western Kentucky, Louisiana Tech, and the like.

No I know homecoming can be a big deal. I just didn't know colleges try to schedule bad teams for it. I'm very aware that's common in high school, we played in 4 or 5 homecoming games my senior year lol.

I thought it was a gimmick you used to sell tickets to shitty games. Respectable schools wouldn't need homecoming b/c they sell out no matter what. SEC schools do it b/c it hard to get people to show up to watch Bama pummel some D3 clown college.

When I look at the ND schedule and think about games to go to, I don't scan for homecoming. I scan for quality and how frickin cold it is going to be.

Me too. I have only been to one November home game and it was a cold and wet. I try to make at least two home games per season and I prefer them in September or early October. Especially with being a married man with three children that all seem to have weekend activities. There is a lot of comfort and just watching the game at home.

November games are real hit or miss in South Bend. I've been to some that were low 60s in the afternoon or 50s, great football weather. I've been in a few frigid ones with snow blowing. I definitely shoot for October when I can, but September ain't bad if it's not too hot. It's amazing how much the overall general weather can swing here in the matter of 30 days, let alone when a cold front can come in overnight and drop the temp 40-50 degrees.
