My coworker is like 57, from lower Alabama, looong time Bama fan. He says he's done with college football, he just doesn't like the changes that have happened.

I told him he was a pussy for bailing once Saban retired and he finally had to face the same forces that Saban had insulated him from for so long. Welcome to actual college football, not that kind played in Saban's bubble wrap.

It's been fun watching the amount Bama fans here. I also have accounts for work on the Bama-Florida line. You would have thought a national tragedy happened when Saban retired.

I’ve got a golf buddy that’s taking the same approach as a Bama fan. “CFB isn’t the same, it’s broken, blah, blah, blah”. Never heard him complain when they were grabbing transfers they wanted or when they were stacking players on the roster like no one else. Their tears are delicious.

Elite coaches are wildly underpaid. Which is why if ND gets the right one he should never leave for money. Saban's ROI was 20x.

No kidding. The majority of students are now from OOS and because of the increase in applications, the University’s academic profile has risen and they’ve been able to be more selective of who they accept. It’s a much better school now, academically, than it was in 2006-2007.
