Kirby’s buyout would be around $75M IIRC. Add the buyout of his staff and a buyout is going to hover around $100M. Need to pump a lot of oil to make that happen.

They can stroke the check, no doubt. That said, having money doesn't always equate to success on the football field (see UT).

Nonetheless, no way in hell Kirby leaves Athens for College Station. :ROFLMAO: I'm in Houston and the Aggy hacks are an interesting, interesting breed. I commend them for swinging for the fences though. Maybe they should take a look at DeBoer, Franklin, Elko, or hell...Dabo?

TX A&M may try to use the gas factor to their advantage against the Irish next year giving an explosive offense a completely new dimension.

The solution here is pay nearly $3M to a guy that was your OC for 8 games that you just hired from Maryland?

Far out. Far fucking out, man. This is EXACTLY how I want to run a college football program. Shit a $3M mistake on the carpet and just shove it under the couch. Brilliant.

I get your point, but Enos was doing some strange things. He was emailing students after the texas A&M that were criticizing his playcalling. It was a bad situation.

So it was more than the offensive being bad. That's fine.

This was his second stint at the program. He worked under Bielema at Arkansas also.

UGA's first game without Brock Bowers in three years, and it's the Cocktail Party.

UGA one of the worst teams at covering this season. I expect no difference Saturday but they’ll still win.
This is the portion that interests me most.

I believe you are correct, but if they don't, there could be additional credence to Bowers being the greatest tight end of all time.

I don’t know what targeting is anymore.

When I watched it live I said that player said 15 yards is worth JD not being in the game anymore and then absolutely nothing. I couldn't believe it.

Was Kelly beside himself after the game about it?

41 is straight up hands to the face in that same clip. Nothing.

Sadly, the is commonplace In the SEC. Generally, Alabama gets the benefit of most of the calls (or no calls in this instance). Every team has experienced it in some form or fashion. The same player that hit Daniels, did the same against Dart at OM last year. He also hurt Ewing at Texas. Go watch Heupel’s postgame press conference regarding officiating and playing at Alabama. His silence was deafening.

Nevertheless, it wasn’t going to change the trajectory of the game. Football is a physical sport, and the better, more physical team won. No point even mentioning that “thing” trying to resemble a defense — that horse is dead and buried. Football is also the ultimate team game, and Daniels, Nabers, and Thomas can’t do it all themselves.

I'm going to disagree on whether the hit on the LSU QB should have been targeting, and not because I'm a Bama fan. Over & over I hear fans calling for targeting or holding in situations where they don't actually understand the definition and the rules regarding either. This is one of them. Helmet to helmet contact, in of itself, is not targeting. Although there are some nuances and context, the short version is there has to be use of the crown of the helmet and an intent to target (or no effort to avoid) a vulnerable area (especially the head and neck). Here, the Bama player is making a normal tackle that results in helmet-to-helmet contact (not a violation), doesn't use his helmet as a weapon, and it's the facemask and forehead area of his helmet that hits the LSU QB, not the crown of his helmet.

Basically, he makes a normal upper body to upper body hit and the facemask and forehead of his helmet hit the chin and facemask area of the guy he tackles. That doesn't come close to meeting the standard for targeting and is why the refs nor the review officials called it. It was a hard hit, was a bit late after the throw, he did put a little extra effort into driving him into the ground, and it definitely deserved the roughing the passer flag, but if you know the definition of targeting and the rules regarding it, the refs 100% got it right.

😂 It wasn’t the most vicious, but he’s got a history of doing that. I’m not saying he’s Nick Fairley, but he kinda has of a dirty reputation.

Who will it be? A Jimmy Sexton client.

Lanning's buyout is $20M.

Mike Elko is 15-7 at Duke. Marcus Freeman 16-8 at Notre Dame.

If I'm Elko, I leverage this to get as much money from Duke as I can and stay the f*ck put.
