My daughters’s car (older CRV) got stolen from her dorm parking lot. Cop’s said they typically use them to sell drugs out of or to drive around and commit other crimes. Got the car back a couple weeks later. Spray painted, no hood, no catalytic converter, stripped down with drug paraphernalia inside. They gave the guy 11/29 and a judgment against him, which I’m sure I’ll never see.

It’s because they’re extremely easy to steal, and word got out via Tik-Tok on how to Hotwire them. It’s not about stealing to sell, it’s about easily stealing to use and then dump.

My body shop had seven (7) in the last three months, all with the same damage: broken glass/damaged driver’s door, missing steering column cover, fried/busted ignition.

The feel I got from his answer is that Styles was feeling pressure from his parents to perform at an expected level and it got in his head. I may be off on how I interpreted that part of the answer, but it stood out to me.
